Subject: Cheating Reminder

I was just forced (yet again) to delete a bunch of accounts from someone who thought it was a good idea to create a zillion different accounts in an attempt to cheat.

Having run this site for 10+ years now, we have a whole host of tools that identify suspicious behavior and allows us to detect cheaters. We've seen it all: people using different IP addresses to try to trick the system, different computers, automated software. We can detect it all.

So please don't bother. The end result, as always, is the deletion of all such accounts AND a lifetime banning of all associated IP addresses.

We want to keep our games as clean as possible.

*** Note for households where more than one person plays on FunTrivia:

If you use the same computer or network as other FunTrivia players, we WILL detect that and your scores will be monitored for suspicious patterns.

We allow players to play from the same household or network as long as they promise to play fairly. That is, no sharing answers and no attempted manipulation of games. To be on the safe side, we recommend that such players play different games at different times of the day. For example, player A playing Who's the Smartest during the 9 oclock game, and player B playing during the 10 oclock game.

If we do notice suspicious scoring occurring from such households, we reserve the right to request that only one player in that household play.
