I'd change the fact that I live in California. I want to be somewhere else.

Um, let's see:

1) Poverty
2) Hunger
3) Disease
4) Pollution
5) Wars
6) Child Abuse
7) Terrorism

I'll be happy to provide a more flippant list when I get over this cold, which has me grumpy!

What you said Paigie, and also I would arrange for a bolt of lightening to strike down my neighbour's conifer tree. It blocks all the sun out of my front garden, and my paving slabs are starting to develop a distinctly wavy appearance. In fact, I would like a mass blight to kill off all the 'domestic conifers'. 'Orrible, ugly things!

I would change the temperature in Wisconsin. In the middle of summer it sometimes reaches 100 degrees. In the middle of winter it can reach about -30 degrees. I'm not a fan of over 100 degree difference between the warmest day and coldest day of the year. The average winter probably is 20-25 and summer is 75-80.

To Paige's list I'll add:
1: eradication of MS, cancer, COPD, malaria, and all other loathsome diseases.

2: Finding the method to rid the planet of mosquitoes once and for all.

3: stabilizing and restoring the environment.

4: closing the gap between rich and poor (both in terms of citizens and nations)

5: finding a way to have everyone live in peace, tolerating differences in religion, political beliefs, food preferences and hairstyles.

"...finding a way to have everyone live in peace, tolerating differences in religion, political beliefs, food preferences and hairstyles"

We might tolerate one another's religion, political beliefs, and food preferences. But hairstyles? That's asking a lot! Ha!

If I was able, I'd go back in time and make sure that Klara Polzl never met Alois Schickelgruber, that Ekaterina Georgievna never met Vissarini Djugashvili or that Rosa Maltoni never met Alessandro Mussolini, thus ensuring that three evil men were never born! I'd do the same for the parents of all dictators and oppressors.

I'd blow apart all official secrecy. These secrets are kept to protect those that have and oppress those who don't. Governments have been caught with information on aliens (U Thant back in the late 50s for example, whose aide was sacked before he could make it public), alternative power (bought up by oil companies to stop us having it, many cures for diseases held back by drug companies who would lose millions, and one which is in the public eye but few believe it, the facts on climate change. But the secrecy there is by trying to keep the facts out of the major media so most people haven't a clue there's nothing actually worth worrying about (and taxing) at all.

Secrecy has been used to keep information the people needed away from them from prehistory and with the internet we now have a chance to slowly share it when anyone can discover it. This is an aim which is actually possible.

There are many things to change in the world we live in, and our own countries. I would wish for a world where everyone had plenty to eat and good healthcare. The next would be for everyone to live in harmony. Wishful thinking I guess

I'd fix it so that nobody could ever tell a lie. That should end up with just about everything else sorted out as a result.

Well to help Pagiedamon, I'd say that our world should have a cure for the common cold at least.

Pagie's list is correct and anyone who doesn't include anything like that in their list is unaware of our world and needs to learn more.

Maybe make it more selfless, have peoples first thoughts not be "What's in it for me". Have people be less egotistic, not point fingers as much and don't get too rooted in ways of thinking.

I would destroy all weapons then there wouldn't have to be any more wars or gang voilence
Destroy most drugs apart from Alcohol and Caffeine and drugs that help people function who have mental health problems
Reduce cars and encourage more people to either use public transport or cycle but keep trucks for deleiveries and planes and ferries for people to go on holiday with
Ban all adverts on televison and make companies find other ways to finance their channels

I would get rid of cancer and people suffering from anything. It seems so unfair that one person might have a horrible, painful road of life and another person, well and healthy. Everyone should be healthy and happy.

In my world, the women would all look like Shannen Doherty, think like Ann Coulter, and cook like Rachael Ray (they would also adore old, fat men). There would be no cats and no okra. PBS would have to carry Glenn Beck, and only veterans would be allowed to vote.
