Both. Without math, many scientific studies could not be undertaken. Although in any case, math itself can be classed as a science. :)

They're essential and inseparable.

I'd have to agree that math and science go together. Rarely is there a branch of science that does not have some form of math in it. Math really is the cleanest, simplest way to understand the natural world.

Yes, math and science go hand in hand. Also, I cringe every time someone says "maths." If you are going to pluralize it, say "mathematics."

Maths isn't a plural, it's the British abbreviation. Whenever I hear an American talking about math, I wonder where the rest of the word has gone.

Mathematics is the study of numbers while science tells what the numbers mean.

I feel that both are interlinked like, i can say that maths is the language of science. So to understand concepts concerning science it is essential to have the basic knowledge of maths, in some cases even advanced topics of maths. But unless you are doing some particular research i dont find the need of maths in every day life as we are automated with the knowledge in maths in our every day life.

Math is the language of science. The less math a science uses the more it resembles a humanity or art.

You've got it Temporary. I always loved science and couldn't do maths. At school I took them all for O level (around 16) and skirted round the few equations required, still managing to pass but would have got better grades if I had.
I then took them to A level but to me was like beginning to have the same subjects gradually taught in Chinese and however much I enjoyed them had to pack them in and switch. But I still learn as much about it as I can and let other people do the maths first before I read their work. I think we can all understand science but a relative elite can work it out behind what we are shown with all the figures (those Greek letters pretty well sealed the deal for me, plus organic chemistry).

My math class lists a website with 17,000 calculators on it. If you can't do the math for science try using the computer? Science can be tough--just learn it.

Separating maths and science is like trying to separate inhaling and exhaling.... Teaching science to students with little maths is a fraught activity and severely limiting for those students in terms of what they can do.

The topic is weird. It's really the same thing.

Science , because it is much broader than math and math is the science's language
