I noticed a thread for what you hate about the world, and thought maybe give the other side a chance lol. So...what do you love about the world?

I love that we have this way of communicating with each other that takes away all the physical prejudices and just leaves us :) I love the physical beauty of this planet and that there are still people out there who amaze me with their selfless sacrifices. I love that no matter how jaded parts of the world become, innocence is still out there.

Great idea!

I love the beautiful natural sites that are still preserved such as the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef. It shows just how beautiful this world was before we came and messed it all up :)

I love the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the earth we stand on.

It's definitely a good idea to be mindful of what's good in the world as we often are bombarded with so much bad news it can become stressful and depressing.

A few years ago I moved to the Shenandoah Valley and I now feel very fortunate indeed to live near beautiful mountains and trees. I also love music and literature. The arts enrich our lives in so many ways.

Yes :) I moved to Montana 22 years ago and I still love the scenery and the wide open spaces here. Plus the wildlife which is plentiful here.

I got the sun in the morning and the moon at night
Sunshine
Gives me a lovely day
Moonlight
Gives me the Milky Way
Got no checkbooks
Got no banks
Still I'd like to express my thanks
I got the sun in the morning and the moon at night
I got the sun in the morning and the moon at night
And with the sun in the morning
And the moon in the evening
I'm all right
And I got me Who could ask for anything more? Who could ask for anything more?!

The natural wonders of the world. Mother nature herself.

I have to agree with Praia - there are so many natural wonders I want to visit.

I love the mysteries of the world, the stuff of marvel that modern "science" cannot explain.

Like the possibility that Bigfoot exists, and that the Loch Ness monster is real? Yeah, I love the possibilities of this world also.

That all is right in the heavens and science doesn't know all :)

How much time have you got?

The natural beauty - and in my part of that world that's still larfely unspoiled, thank God;

The diversity of cultures, food, music, dance, and all the arts;

The basic goodness of people. I work with a volunteer organization that gathers surplus food and distributes it through over 300 volunteer food banks, and I am always blow away by the support our efforts receive from the community. A few years ago, the group conceived the idea of distributing soup bowls to celebrities, asking them to sign them and return them to us so that the bowls could be auctioned to raise money to run our trucks, pay the bills for heat and light in our warehouse and so on. Everyone we've approached has responded - last night we raised $22,000.00 selling soup bowls. The bowl decorated and signed by all the members of the Rolling Stones went for $7,000.00 a few years ago! My favourite was the bowl created by Joni Mitchell, who is a gifted artist as well as a singer/songwriter. She painted her bowl beautifully.

There are so many reasons why I love the world!

Aargh! Why don't we have a way of previewing our posts to check for typos?

Correction 1: natural beauty..larGely (not larfely) unspoiled...

Correction 2: ...$220,000.00 (for the soup bowls). In fact, just got an update - it was $235,000.00 when the final count was in!

I'm still trying to think of something after two days. If you include the living things as well as the world itself then the best people compensate for all the others, as do the best places. I do love the fact I still only live a few miles from the old family home so still able to spend time where I was happiest, and that I also spent 22 summers in my next favourite place in Devon.
Also there are the best human creations, the music, writing and philosophy that makes the world more interesting, so really the best of everything however rare they all are.

I am happy for so many things. My job comes first, and that I can pay on my credit cards every month. I love my team as well, and my dogs and my horse. I wish I could go to Vegas more often, but that will come in time.

I love the clean fresh air of the countryside, the animals and the birds. I love the spectacular beauty of the highlands of Scotland which brings me to tears. The pictures I've seen of other fabulous places in the world, some I've been to some I've not. The world is a beautiful place and long may it be so.

The fact that I am in it is a huge plus to start with right there. :)

The world is a beautiful, living place. You can't blame the world for what goes on in it. I love rain, flowers, animals, birds, mountains, oceans, deserts, good people, and every other thing about the world.

I have to agree with TheRambler, the Scottish Highlands are one of the most beautiful places in the world. I've travelled a lot over the years, and seen lots of amazing beautiful sights, but none compare with what I have on my own doorstep. Breathtaking!
