Subject: Annoyed

Has anything seriously annoyed you today;
I have 3 things that have annoyed me.
1st I was forced to draw in a game of Chess because I made a ridiculously silly move.
2nd I got 9/15 in impossible. I'm playing in hardcore mode so it annoyed me.
3rd Also to do with the Global for the second time this week a double starred subject came up that I'm good at. In fact have won "who's the expert" in them. Both went well, submitted quickly but I'm told it took over 130 seconds so doesn't count!! It did not. It's not fair and I'm going to sulk!!!
I don't like today at all :P
Anyone else?

Ah, the dreaded 9/15 in Hardcore!

My dog had a scuffle with an off-lead pyrenean mountain dog yesterday. Fortunately Darcy had his coat on, so only has a couple of grazes and a bald patch. Annoyed that the man said 'oh, he's never done that before, it must be because your dogs are on leads'. That's all right then!

Had bright idea of tumbling out of bed, taking mug of tea upstairs, and being showered before gardener arrived. Did something very silly. Answered the phone to someone who likes the sound of her own voice but doesn't want to hear anybody else's. (I have never understood why she finds it so important to express herself to people she has no interest in listening to.) Managed to escape... Hungry. Food first.

Still in dressing down. Answered door to gardener. He was late. His father had helped himself to his car without telling him. Agreed it was role reversal, made him tea.

Showered, put towels in wash, opened back door to find washing machine emptying into drain, and drain overflowing.

Should have stayed in bed.

Sally, did the dog-owner apologise?

A facebook post today, to a man whose grandfather has just died, ends with the immortal words: be brave. WHY?

If someone is ill, or bereaved, why do people think that saying "be brave" or, possibly worse, "be strong" is... in any way... even remotely - helpful?

Our weather is annoying - rain mixed with sleet, freezing temperatures, still have snow on the ground. Hey, Mother Nature, this is March - how about some Spring?

It was a lovely sunny spring day here Dave!

Lesley, of course they didn't apologise, they never do. I didn't get into an argument, it only upsets the dogs and makes things worse.

Three annoying things today? Let's see, I stood one hour on a queue at the bank, I bought 1kg of sugar, prepacked and when I opened the bag I discovered the sugar was humid, and finnaly on the way to work I ruined my stockings with a zipper from my purse. I'm still recovering.

Sally, that's the answer I expected.

We had neighbours with two small children and a big drooly dog. Jonathan passed toys over the fence, and they came back bent, chewed and drooly. (*ugh*) Mother of the two small children would normally have to wrest them from the dog's mouth, hand them back, and tell me that's what happens when you let the dogs have things.

We were not unhappy when they moved out.

May I be preserved from people who are always right and whose dogs can do no wrong.

Sally, I had similar not long ago. Big Pyrranean in a garden where usually there is no sign of a dog. He came over the fence (which was only knee high on me anyway). Owners in the garden, I called out can you control your dog please. They said, oh he only wants to play, he won't hurt anyone. I pointed out Susie was on the lead under control and she wasn't going to play, could they call it back please. He called in a very half hearted way, dog of course ignored him. I'm trying to walk away, but he keeps following, Susie is getting more and more wound up. Eventually I lost my temper completely and told him if he didn't control his blankety blank dog there and then I was ringing the dog warden. He came and got the dog, but kept on about making a fuss over nothing, dog wasn't doing any harm etc. etc.

Susie had tried to hard to ignore the creature when it was barking and barking at her before it came over the fence. We've spent months trying to desensitise her to other dogs, and something like this could put her way back. Fortunately it hasn't, but I have to say it didn't look very friendly or playful to me. It was snarling and growling, no play bounce at all, hackles right up, it looked like it meant business. Perhaps it was the same dog.

Funny how we're always the ones who are accused of making a fuss about nothing by the people who are acting like pigs.

If this did set her back, your neighbours wouldn't know what had hit them. With luck, they'd move out. Is the slurry still there? Could you get Susie to jump over the fence, and spread a little friendliness and joy (and slurry) round your neighbours? *naughty*

I'm sorry - feel better. I get irritated, too. In one game you had to type in a name, and I did and I know it was spelled correctly. But in the answer, it was spelled a different way. I was thinking that maybe I was wrong, but I have seen it spelled my way many times after that. The name and my spelling was Colin Firth. The spelling given was "Coln".

Your spelling was correct--my guess is that the quiz writer didn't realize he/she had left the 'i' out of Colin, and it just wasn't caught before the quiz went online. Surprising, though, that no one appears to have sent an error message.

One person who sends an error message probably represents 98 who couldn't be bothered because someone else would be bound to send one, and 1 who didn't even notice an error.

Naughty Lesley, naughty. Good idea though - I'll let her go visit when we're at the end of our walk one day and she's covered in everything imaginable.

I'm annoyed by all of this snow we've had dumped on us in the past week! Today is the third snowstorm we have had in a week's time & this is the worst of all! It's been snowing since about 5 am & is supposed to keep going through tomorrow. We'll have 2 feet of snow if it doesn't slow down soon! I really need to go get my blood pressure medicine which will be running out in a matter of days but I'm snowed in! I do not look forward to shoveling out my driveway, either...

The Daily Challenges really annoyed me yesterday. I swapped out a challenge, finished the replacement and then when I decided to buy a new challenge I got the first one back again! Most annoying
