Definately - the badges I have earned, mostly I did so by accident. Reply #5. Jun 19 13, 12:24 AM |

There weren't any badges for years and I played for whatever recognition we did get, although spending hours playing who's the smartest for the monthly may not have been on the radar without the badge. It also gives me something to do in the long winter nights by working through the unclaimed challenges which wouldn't have existed otherwise to play, but I always played before anyhow. Reply #6. Obviously when we earn all the respective badges of the game. Even then we have the in stint to show off our division by playing the game. Reply #10. Jun 20 13, 6:43 AM |

Yes. I was playing for awhile before I figured out the badge stuff. I was deleting my alert e-mails not paying attention to what they were (plus I go days without checking it at all). I just liked to play, the badges came as a pleasant surprise Reply #14. Jun 24 13, 3:43 PM |

I found the hourly games Easy Mixed and Smartest repetitive as they used limited question pools (the Easy game does regardless of level) Once I won a few badges, automatic competitiveness kicked in and i needed to win all of them ignoring the monthly Easy Mixed Smartest. By the time I thought I were capable of achieving same I was level 100+ and the question pools were much harder so I have tried three times without luck. They remain a "hole" in my library. I don't really care so much about the badges, but I really wanted to make immortal in the GC and get 100 wins in the Expert game. Made immortal a year ago and I'm closing in on 200 Expert wins, so that's my current goal. No badge for that, but who cares? I think a lot of us view these games as a competition with ourselves--we are constantly trying to surpass what we've already achieved. Reply #16. Jun 24 13, 6:40 PM |

Yep, you bet I would! Badges? I don't need no stinkin' badges. (My apologies to Treasure of the Sierra Madre and Blazing Saddles.) Reply #17. Jun 24 13, 7:43 PM |

Badges, smadges, I've won a few and, yes, some are one's I tied for, but most of them just "happened". There is one I'd like to get and I'm gitten' close. I'd like to get to 100 "Correct!!!" responses in the Crystal Ball game... 5 more to go. Then I'll only be about 1,200 behind Hurricane Bill :-) Reply #18. Jun 24 13, 8:01 PM |

I just realized that I mis-spoke. There is no badge for getting 100 words correct in "The Crystal Ball", just the satisfaction. The badge comes after 25 correct, which I guess kinda' nails down the point I was trying to make. Reply #19. Jun 24 13, 8:31 PM |

Also, doesn't playing these games help our team earn points, thus possibly improving the team's stats? Reply #20. Jun 26 13, 9:19 AM |
