We stayed home and just did what we wanted. A few short day trips and that is about it. It was nice to sleep in, not have to be anywhere at any set time and be able to do as we pleased. Reply #1. Oct 10 08, 11:43 AM |

A week in Florence, touring all the major places in Tuscany, lovely weather, beautiful countryside and monuments and galleries/museums, good food, just take plenty of money, not cheap. Reply #3. Oct 10 08, 7:28 PM |

My daughter took me to Edinburgh for our last vacation. I must have been a Scot in a prior life -- I just love it there! Reply #4. Oct 11 08, 9:47 PM |

I spent two and a half weeks in Southern Ontario house sitting for my son and daughter (in-law) while they celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary. It was great because i got to spend time with my beloved granddog, Oliver, and his three feline siblings, Max, Quinn and Pa-Li. One of my good friends accompanied me and we had a rare old time. We recently spent a week down in Orlando, Florida. In fact, if you visit my FunTrivia blog, you'll get a quick-and-dirty insider's guide to Orlando and Central Florida. http://www.funtrivia.com/~cag1970 Reply #8. Nov 04 08, 8:01 PM |

My ancestors are from Ireland. This summer, my parents, siblings, husband & 2 grown children all went to Ireland and hired a bus to tour. It was fabulous, and the bus was the best way for 12 of us to travel together. It was a wonderful trip. - Sue Reply #10. Nov 15 08, 12:36 AM |

I went to Achiltibuie on the north west coast of Scotland. Stayed in a croft looking out over the Summer Isles, it was glorious. Hey PDAZ, I'm so glad you enjoyed Edinburgh as it's my home town. Reply #12. Nov 16 08, 8:59 AM |

The one and only vacation I had was to Minot, ND, where I was born. We went, oh probably 10 years ago, and it had grown exponentially in the intervening 13 years. My mother didn't even recognize it, and the hospital where I was born isn't there anymore. Reply #13. Nov 21 08, 10:52 AM |

My last vacation was in Puerto Vallarta. Really nice but not good for snorkeling. My best ever the Riviera Maya. Beautiful, fun and highly recommendable! Reply #20. Feb 03 09, 6:34 PM |
