There are several beautiful places to visit. We are very blessed to have many in each state. Arkansas has a varied landscape which you can enjoy. If you like fishing, we have great lakes. If you like mountain climbing, we have that. If you like themeparks, we have those. In the fall season, we have somke of the best hunting places for ducks, deer, turkey and bear. If you want a health spa we have the Hot Springs that many come to take advantage of. You name and we may have it. Reply #2. Dec 07 08, 10:24 PM |

North Wales, Canada (especially Lake of the Woods, the Rockies, and Niagara Falls) and although I've only seen pictures I'd include New Zealand on my list, too. Reply #3. Dec 08 08, 3:24 PM |

Yes, the Grand Canyon is so great a place to visit. It is so amazying to see it change as the sun moves. You go from one location to another for a different viewing spot and it grows on you to think of how it was created and how it is maintained for so many visitors. The condors that fly there are so graceful. And the park squirrels are friendly but the warning is do not touch them as they bite. Be sure to drink lots of water as you will need it. Your photos will not do it justice. Go if you get the chance and you will always remember this trip. Reply #7. Dec 17 08, 8:43 AM |

My country Lebanon aside, which will always have the most beautiful places in it, I have to say that Niagara Falls in Canada is breathtaking. I love Clifton Hills! Reply #12. Jan 03 09, 2:15 AM |

King of All, the Grand Canyon is majestic and - well - grand, but it's too immense to be beautiful. I suppose I should strike the Rockies and Niagara Falls off my own list by that criterion, too. And while San Diego has a wonderful climate, it's a city and I'm not inclined to think of cities as beautiful - all those buildings, and that concrete and tarmac (shudder!). On second thought, York in England and Quebec City in Canada could qualify as charming, if not beautiful, but that has more to do with age than anything else. Reply #13. Jan 04 09, 9:43 AM |

I have been to France, Italy, Greece - but by far, the most beautiful and majestic place I have visited is Alaska. I find the wildlife, the blue ice glaciers and Mt. McKinley very fascinating. I have been told that once you have been to Alaska, Alaska keeps calling you. Well - it calls me! Reply #16. Mar 07 09, 1:03 AM |

I have been to Niagara Falls several times. Believe it or not, Cym - once was in 1969. We were shocked to see absolutely no water flowing. Geologists wanted to study the cost of removing loose rock from the bottom of the falls. I think they wanted to improve "the look". But in the long run, you can't improve upon Mother Nature and it was determined that the cost was too much so nothing was done. Now that was some sight! Reply #17. Mar 07 09, 1:10 AM |

The Cook Islands. Tropical paradise with the main island (Rarotonga) about 32 km in circumference. No traffic lights, most people ride around on scooters or just walk to where they need to get to. Like Hawaii 100 years ago. Very rural and very laid back. Extremely friendly people - true aloha there. I highly recommend the place and if you DO go, make sure you seek out Piri Piruto. A real ambassador for the place. I stayed across the street from him for two weeks - a truly great person. It is the kind of place too where if you are there for a week and do the social thing there, you will run into just about everybody on the island at least twice. Local girls are taboo though. But then, you do have the backpacker girls of many nations and that is a different story. I really had a great time there and I will definitely return. Just a few of many views: http://cache.eb.com/eb/image?id=61136&rendTypeId=4 http://www.south-seas-adventures.com/Gallery/South_Pacific_Beaches_1/images/beaches1_JGutekunst_005.jpg http://www.travelwithachallenge.com/Images/Travel_Article_Library/Rarotonga/Beach.jpg Good surf there too but very, very sketchy. A couple reef passes (I had the great fun of trying to paddle in through one of them on an outgoing tide - that STUNK) but mostly dry reef on the inside with fields of urchins. Fun fun fun. Great snorkeling in the lagoon, though. Shoulder deep water, lots of fish, cool corals, and no wave action in the lagoon unless a real macking swell (i.e. triple overhead) coming through. I can't recommend the place enough - true beauty! Reply #18. Mar 07 09, 8:10 AM |

To me the most beautiful place I have been to is right on my doorstep - the English Lake District. It combines the tranquility of the lakes with the drama of the highest mountains in England. Reply #20. Apr 04 09, 3:24 PM |
