I don't know how old you are, and I don't care. I'm a mom who stumbled into this book completely accidentally, and I loved it. I've gotten through the first two books, and I'm looking forward to the movie. Reply #5. Nov 10 08, 1:22 AM |

I was thinking about looking at them for the teenage girls I tutor. I go with the philosophy, that at least when I start working with them, any reading is good reading. Reply #6. Nov 21 08, 2:43 PM |

I haven't read the book, but my sister read it, and she said that it was AMAZING! I'm going to read it as soon as I can, but it may be a while, because the library's hold list is REALLY long! lol Reply #7. Nov 21 08, 7:02 PM |

I loved book 1, thought book 2 was hideously tedious, can't remember book 3 at all and book 4 is the reason I donated my entire set of Twilight books to the local library. Reply #11. Dec 09 08, 8:11 PM |

i have some news hardwicke the director of twilight will not be doing the sequel. reason being the powers that be in the movie making biz are not allowing her certain things example jacob needs to have chemistry with bella and remember he grows like to 6 feet in a short period of time now keep in mind edward is mia during most of this story so i have to agree with her any thoughts anyone? Sorry to down-trodden on your parade. Before Twilight, tweens weren't interested too much in vampires. This truly disturbs me, being a vampire lover and all. Twilight is a disgrace to my philosophy and a burden in my mind. It's not that I don't like Stephanie Meyer, I mean, I do like her Host, but Vampires can't do some of those PG-13 things in there. And to make things clear, Vampires don't sparkle. Now, don't get into your heads I have a thing against Twilight. My friends, including a few guy-friends, love the books, along with my soon-to-be sister-in-law. I'm just saying, Vampires were known, but now everybody thinks they can walk out and thinks if in fact they were here, they wouldn't suck on you, even if they were a bit hungry. Reply #16. hey, bananaphobia, don't take this the wrong way, but have your ever met a REAL vampire? Until Soookie Stackhouse knocks on my door and introduces me to Bill Compton, I'm going to take all Vampire stories and movies as the works of fiction that they are. I realize there are people out there that THINK they are vampires, but even Bram Stoker himself did not write Dracula as a biography. Anne Rice is a gifted story teller, but she doesn't have LeStat over for cocktails and game night. So I wouldn't worry too much about authors morphing traditional images of vampires into something else. If I ever saw a REAL vampire, consider me dinner, because my fat butt would be on the ground in a dead faint from the shock! Reply #19. Dec 27 08, 1:39 PM |

I adore the series, I could pick apart every bit of each book. But I do agree. The second book (with Edward gone and Bella in a depression) wasn't that exciting...but I still liked it. And we do need to remember, this is a fictional piece. And it's a good idea that people don't get to worked up about it. We already have the two Twilight wars going on...the bible one and the abortion one. Reply #20. Dec 31 08, 11:39 PM |
