Subject: Smallest bookshelf in your house.

A rare first edition of Darwin's On The Origin of Species was recently discovered on a bookshelf in someone's lavatory. What reading material do you keep in the smallest room in the house?

Whatever I'm currently reading. Right now, it's "One Shot" by Lee Child. It is a Jack Reacher novel, and I'm a big fan.

Old copies of Readers Digests.. which I don't mind disposing of after they have been in use a while.. would NEVER take my current book there !

I keep copies of books that I either have more than one of or are easy to replace as I have a bad habit of reading in the bathtub, then falling asleep. If anyone knows an easy affordable way to waterproof books I'd love to hear about it.

My bathroom is so small....

if I did keep a book in it, there would be no room for people.

Like Veronikka, whatever book I'm currently reading goes with me.
Or, if I'm not in the reading mood, battery operated handheld games like Yahtzee or Wheel Of Fortune are within reach.

I have a fairly small downstairs toilet, which holds around 4 or 500 of my dad's books (all his other bookshelves are full!).

I have bookcases in every room in the house, including the kitchen (I have a three-foot long shelf of cookery books and all my special teas and herbs and spices in it).

I keep 'old friend' books in the bathroom, ranging from poetry to novels, biographies and theology.

Thanks, Wayman! Honestly, because...I can't imagine why someone would only leave OLD Readers Digest in the 'bathroom'. Not interesting, so why bother? Germs? Please!

Magazines. It is the only time and place I read magazines.

The Darwin book was sold at auction for £103,000 ($170,000), nearly twice the estimate. It's a good job somebody hadn't run short of loo paper.
