Well sure, I've seen a lot of celebrities... I watch a lot of TV and movies... ;-) lol. Ok, but really, I met Louis Sachar, author of "Holes". I've... Oh, gosh, you know, I think that's it. I'm met some not-so-famous people that I was excited to meet, like local radio guys, unknown authors, etc. Oh, I just remembered! If you've ever seen "The Food Network Challenge", I met Keegan Gerhard, he's really nice, Carey Ann Vincent, and whatever the other guy was, plus the four contestants. One of them was Stevie; and her husband. :-) Reply #1. Jan 27 11, 10:16 AM |

I shook hands with Dr. Timothy Leary. I met the reggae group Burning Spear while in Jamaica. I met Bubba Smith because I worked with his cousin. My dog and I were in a video with Daron Norwood, a country singer. That's about it. Richard Nixon walked down our street in California, but I didn't meet him. He did pick up my baby brother. I've met Tony Dow from Leave it to Beaver, was within a few yards in Vegas from Steven Speilberg, who was playing cards, and Bruce Willis, who was getting a milkshake. I also met a man who had a bit part in the original Exorcist movie. Sportswise I have met Tom Watson the golfer, and several of the pro bowlers that were on tour about 7 or 8 years ago, Norm Duke, Walter Ray Williams Jr and Jason Couch to name a few. Reply #3. While posting my reply on this thread, I was thinking that I had seen a duplicate thread on this same subject before so I looked it up. Here's the link: http://www.funtrivia.com/bb.cfm?action=details&qnid=12716&boardid=24 I think this thread will be locked once the Mods see there's a duplicate. That's why they want us to check closely for duplicate threads BEFORE we post one so the boards aren't cluttered with identical topics! Reply #5. Jan 29 11, 7:42 PM |

I saw Jean-Pierre LĂ©aud (he was in many Truffaut movies such as The 400 Blows) having a drink with a friend at a terrace in Paris. I also saw Lambert Wilson (the Matrix movies) in a bookstore. Both times were in the very posh sixth arrondissement, where a lot of French celebrities live. Reply #7. Apr 19 11, 10:37 AM |

In the fall of 2002 I spent a weekend escorting Robert Conrad (Wild, Wild West,Bah Bah Black Sheep, Jingle All The Way) who came to our county to do a political fundraiser for a local politician he had become friends with. I had a great time. He is a very nice person. He danced with my wife a lot the first night. 2008 I also escorted Scott MacGreggor (Former Baltimore Orioles Pitcher) In a local parade which he was the Grant Marshall. Reply #10. Went to see Penn & Teller in Las Vegas and had no idea that they hang out after the show and mingle with guests. A friend and I spent about half an hour goofing off with them and taking plenty of pictures. In fact, they asked if we had anything to sign. The pair of them only left after the last guests and they seemed reluctant to let us go. Great guys that excel at everything including burning the candle 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Met Rob Schneider twice in New Orleans at fund raisers. Nice, funny, congenial fellow that seemed like the kind of guy you'd have over to watch sports. Reply #11. Apr 25 11, 2:02 PM |

I once embarrassed a co-worker (not on purpose) when we were in an elevator. It was years ago and during the era of "Matt Houston" (played by Lee Horsley). A gentleman entered the elevator with us and I just opened my mouth and said "you know, I've heard Lee Horsley's brother is just as handsome as Lee". He laughed and then introduced himself as Lee's brother (I can't remember his first name). Considering Denver was once where Lee lived, it was possible. I wanted to ask for id but my co-worker shoved me out of the elevator. She was very unhappy. Oh, the things that happen when people hang around with me....lol Reply #17. Aug 19 11, 11:42 AM |

I once had lunch with Hank Aaron, dinner with Willis Reed, danced on stage with Chita Rivera (after several Black Russians) went to a Jets game with Mets pitcher Bob Apodaca, and had a beer with Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford. I also shook the hands of Arnold Palmer, Tom Seaver,Roy Rogers, Bill Bradley and my all-time personal hero: Gil Hodges-RIP, #14-you belong in the Hall of Fame As a kid I was in the background of a photo taken of President Eisenhower... there are more but those are my favorites. This may not count because he was dead when I saw him, but my dad took to Yankeee Stadium to see The Babe laid out for public viewing. Reply #20. Mar 24 12, 8:14 AM |
