I loved Thomas Kinkaid's paintings. The 'painter of light' knew how to create art that gives me the 'warm fuzzies'. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. Reply #1. Apr 07 12, 6:26 PM |

I have always loved his art work. Still do not know what killed him, he was only 54. He left some beautiful art work for us to enjoy as his legacy. Reply #2. Apr 11 12, 11:00 PM |

I too loved his work and have captured some of his work on my computer from cards sent to me in the past featuring his paintings. Now that is what I call art, not the rubbish foisted on us by people like Dali, Picasso, and a few others of their ilk. Give me the old masters like Rembrandt, Constable (particularly "The Hay Wain") Gainsborough, Turner etc. Those are pictures I would put on my walls. Reply #3. Apr 11 12, 11:22 PM |

Mommakat, we agree on so many topics! I've never enjoyed Picasso's art, as most toddlers can create better....and I have NEVER felt the need to apologize to the art snobs for that opinion. As for Dali, I could take him or leave him. One of the most accomplished realism artists of the 20th century was Jack Lord; however, most people will remember him only as McGarrett on "Hawaii 5-0". That man painted the most phenomenal seascapes I've EVER seen! The talented Mr. Kinkaid left us too soon. We have a wonderful Kinkaid gallery in my city, and now that he is deceased, I don't want to think about how the prices will escalate! Reply #4. Apr 12 12, 12:17 PM |

Thomas Kinkade still 'lives' in the many jigsaw puzzles of his work which keep me amused for hours. Reply #5. Mar 09 13, 7:17 AM |
