Hi Karen! Nice of you to join us here. My favorite chain restaurant was Bennigan's but they all closed down so now I guess I would have to say it's T.G.I. Fridays. I love their appetizers and drinks.

I second the Olive Garden. Just wish there was one here on Oahu. First things first, Target is coming, pehaps Olive Garden is next. Really could use a salad about now.

Well done kitkat, first this belongs in hobbies, second we have had it before but it may have been deleted in which case it can be reposted there. I even remember my answer (Wimpy and KFC).

I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, but if I have to eat at one I like Applebee's and Tony Roma's. They both serve great ribs.

I prefer the local places in my area myself but my favorite chain would probably be Outback Steakhouse, I love their ribeye and Blooming Onion. Olive Garden is probably one of my least favorite chains. The wait is long, it is noisy, and the food is average. Maybe it's just the Olive Garden in my area but there are a lot of great local Italian and Greek places to eat in my area anyway, I just go there instead.

The Olive Garden in my area is quite good. The standard lunch order for me is soup and salad (hold the salt). I am not a fan of the chain restaurants and prefer the smaller restaurants that rely on their reputation. I am near the shore so in the summer, seafood restaurants abound. Give me a good cup of seafood chowder any time.

I'm a big fan of Chili's. I'm also willing to go to Applebee's, Outback, Red Robin, or Charlie Browns.

When I was back east visiting family, it was Weathervane and also Newarks. OMG they have awesome seafood, and while I love Montana, sometimes I miss the nice restaurants I grew up with :)

I don't really have a favourite, I like different things about different places. I'd say ones that rank near the top of my list of places to go would be East Side Mario's, Jack Astor's, Boston Pizza (the Canadian Boston Pizza, which is an entirely different chain that the American Boston Pizza... frankly, I don't know why it's called Boston Pizza), and Lonestar Texas Grill (the food has really gone downhill in recent years, but great margaritas!)

Not a fan of the chain-food-restaurant phenomenon either. 'Branding' and 'merchandising' my food?.What for, my convenience? So I don't need to THINK about what I'm eating all that much? ... Sure does eliminate the need to 'work up an appetite'!

Much prefer to eat somewhere that has a local reputation for good quality, organic where possible, locally sourced produce.

..... Actually; that sounds like a dinner invite to my aunty's house!

I love the Golden Coral. It's a family oriented restaurant where everyone can get what they want and the prices are just right.

My all-time favorite restaurant chain is "Olive Garden" because of its fabulous pasta and desserts! My second favorite is "Dennys" because they are all over Oregon, and that makes it a great place to eat when travelling!

Ok, here's a list of the good ones: Olive Garden, Outback Steak House and one that I don't think anyone's mentioned yet--Chipotle!

I do my very best to avoid chain restaurants. I have found some excellent one of a kind places when I travel. Some have been great food, some have supplied me with great stories.

I like Outback, and Chili's. I've never been to Olive Garden. Have seen commercials for Golden Corral. Actually, I don't go out to eat very much! :)
