If we are talking about superstitions, my mother is superstitious so I take after her, I don't walk under ladders and get a bit worried if a black cat walks across my path. In saying that, my lucky number is 13, I don't believe it to be unlucky at all. Reply #1. Apr 20 09, 3:57 PM |

The number thirteen, a few years ago was going on a driving holiday to Cornwall. We had planned to go on the Friday which just happened to be the thirteenth, needless to say I waited until midnight before setting off. Alson do not walk under ladders. Reply #2. Apr 20 09, 4:00 PM |

I believe that if you give a knife as a gift, the person receiving it needs to give you a penny. That way they "bought" it. If you just give it, it will cut the bonds between you. Reply #3. Apr 20 09, 4:09 PM |

I don't have any superstitions that I consciously know of. I do however believe in aliens (whether more advanced than us or less advanced) but I wouldn't really class it as a superstition more a case of statistical probabilities. Reply #4. Apr 20 09, 4:36 PM |

I don't subscribe to any superstitions, however I don't walk under ladders on building sites. There may be someone up the ladder carrying a hod of bricks, one or several of which might fall out of the hod. Just for the record, my niece was born on a Friday which happened to be the thirteenth day of the month. She hasn't suffered any noticeable bad luck in her 46 years of life. She's beautiful, talented, holds down a good job for which she is well-paid, has a lovely husband and two fine sons and is an all-round nice person. Reply #6. Apr 20 09, 6:45 PM |

I think it's possible that the Loch Ness Monster exists. I also think it's possible that there are other humans (or aliens, if you will) out there somewhere, but they're so far away and their technology is the same as ours that they can't find us, and we can't find them. It's such a big universe, it's possible there's another Earth out there. I don't believe in flying saucers, though. I think it's just secret advanced military aircraft. I believe that Krakens exist deep below the ocean's surface. Reply #10. Jun 12 09, 5:32 PM |

No more follicles result if plucking of hair occurs. This is a scientific fact no matter what colour the hair is that is pulled, yanked or in any other way dettached from the follicle base. I used to want to be a beautician and I know this to be true. Reply #15. Aug 02 09, 9:54 AM |

Maybe it makes a place for three more follicles to form. I knew what the answer was, but I still believe three more grey hairs come from somewhere. Reply #16. Aug 02 09, 10:35 AM |

Here's another one. If you find a coin heads up, keept it, the luck is yours. If you find one heads down, give it to someone else. Reply #17. Aug 02 09, 10:48 AM |

Follicles or no follicles, I plucked ONE grey hair ONCE and am now about 60% grey (sob) and I am still in my 30s :-( I am a firm believer in the 13th being unlucky, and Friday 13th moreso. My birthday is the 13th and I have had so many "bad" ones over the years that I now tend to celebrate the day before or after, particularly when it falls on a Friday. Reply #19. Aug 02 09, 4:54 PM |
