I was really pleased with the number of players who have taken the time to rate my newest quizzes. They all went online in the past few days, so hardly any time really, but had got more ratings than some of mine which have been online over a year! Some of mine seem to get to 18 or 19 and just stick there forever, so it was lovely to see the new ones whizzing past the 20 mark like that :-D Reply #1. Jul 14 09, 1:50 AM |

That's brill Rowena! I had a bad day yesterday, I realised, on good advice, that my Dog eating quiz, should have gone in Thematic 10 questions...so swapped it over, and the waiting queue is well long lol I had to make 2 cheesy pasta chicken bakes, as in my first attempt I had a 'moment' and slung the pasta in without boiling it first, then realised after it had been in the oven for 10 mins, grrrrrr My daughter was so laughing at me! From a quick look, Ash, that's probably because most of your quizzes are on very specific subjects, so don't get as many plays as more 'general' quizzes, and also a lot of them are 'in the red' in terms of difficulty, and no matter what anyone says, that _can_ make a difference. Maybe you need to bust right out of your comfort zone and write something utterly new - check out the Quiz Challenge for some inspiration perhaps. Good luck! Reply #6. Jul 14 09, 10:53 AM |

You can never really tell exactly how quizzes will rate and it was interesting for me this week (I had 4 new quizzes). But I would say that MOST quizzes get what they deserve. The sunglasses club is quite nail-biting! lol I agree that one never knows which ones are going to make it, and which ones are doomed to fail miserably :( I have 8 'sunnies' out of my 31 quizzes online - only one I do personally feel deserves an accolade - the other 7 are ok I guess, but they are in categories I find very easy to write in, resulting in quizzes that I need to do very little, if any, research in :) Reply #11. And as to above, our team has a 'forgotten gems' thread on our board which seems to get those last few ratings needed, and we're only a wittle bitty team! Touch wood haven't had that problem yet... Ash, I understand your dilemma. My team supposedly has about 80 members. But I've only seen about 10 of them ever play and we're hard-pressed to get enough folks to earn points in the Team Heroes game (and we only need FIVE, for heaven's sake). Oh well, the ones I've chatted with seem to be very nice folks and I wouldn't dream of leaving them for an instant. Anyway, Rowena/Ash/anyone else, if you post your "unrated" quizzes here, I, for one, am quite willing to have a go at them. After my first month here, I've rated each and every quiz I've ever played. I don't really understand why people don't do so. While the "Quiz Rater" badge has probably certainly helped in that regard, perhaps the minimum number could be raised a little (or a lot). I'm quite willing to have mine taken away, since I know I'll earn it back eVENTually. I know folks don't want to make it sound like "begging", but I don't see it that way, as there is no excuse for a quiz being played over 100 times and only rated 15 times (sheesh) That's just laziness.
