As promised-- at the end of the Crunch, a new challenge.

We have so many Stephen King quizzes online, and I only wrote some of them. Regardless of whether you think his works are stellar or drivel, you can't contest that he's one of the most famous and most prolific fiction writers of our time, reshaping modern concepts of horror and being an overall major figure in popular criticism and authoring. Aside from books, he's also had several adaptations and original TV/film works.

But that's enough about Stephen King. This challenge is all about not using him; you will be using his titles though.

For this challenge, you need to use one of the twelve titles of his works listed below (they can be novels, short stories, movies, TV shows, etc.) or you can make up one of your own until the end of April to add to the list. The quiz you write can be about anything relevant in any category provided it's not about a specific King work (ie. the one related to the title) or a mixture of King's works. Remember: not Stephen King.

One quiz at a time, but you may contribute more than one overall. When your first quiz is online you may create a second. You may claim your titles here; if you use your own from his list of works, you need to note it here to count. His written works are found at:

There's no way this can live without "The Long Walk". Claimed.

(Side challenge - can we manage all seven "Dark Tower" books? Titles are "The Gunslinger", "The Drawing of the Three", "The Waste Lands", "Wizard and Glass", "Wolves of the Calla", "Song of Susannah" and "The Dark Tower" - obviously the 2nd and 5th would be the most difficult ones here)

I just read his e-book "UR" and would like that title.

By the way, "Under the Dome" is being filmed right now as a mini series for television in Wilmington, North Carolina, where I live.

Other Stephen King films have been filmed here. Once, my husband and I went to see one of his movies during the day in an almost deserted movie theater. The girl selling popcorn was a student of mine and told me, "Don't say anything, but Stephen King is watching the movie." There he was, in the back row. So I can tell people I was once in a movie with Stephen King, right?
