In just over two weeks we'll be celebrating our fourth year in the Author's Lounge. Four! The number keeps growing! ;)
For those of you joining us in your first year here in the Lounge, July is often a bit of a big deal; to commemorate the inception of the Lounge, at least one new challenge is posted in here every week-- that's five weeks of challenges beginning on the 1st (this year it's a Monday).
As always, all of the challenges will be relevant for Pan-Galactics; some of the challenges will be classics revisited and some will be completely new. I just posted the list of challenges for the editors-- I'm a fair bit excited. ;)
The next Commission will commence on July 1, so sign-ups will be posted the previous week; as always you can only join if you do not have a current Commission quiz in progress.
So set a little time aside to celebrate with us. Pull up a seat. Write a quiz or two. And thanks for another stellar year! :)

Congrats to the lounge and to all of its authors! Unfortunately, I'll be out for the entire month of July, unable to write quizzes. Hopefully I will be able to sign up for next commission, and complete other lounge challenges prior to June 28. I'll see further details, if needed, with Kyle. Happy birthday to the lounge! Reply #5. Four years, how time flies when you're having fun. I think Kyle's chair definitely needs replacing, most of the springs are gone and the upholstery is a bit tired in places. We good do with a bigger chocolate storage area as well. Reply #11. Jun 16 13, 5:35 AM |

I have a lot of quizzes I already plan to write, but the kick up the bum I get from challenges here gets me back into quizwriting in general, so it's win-win! It's awesome producing quizzes for the Lounge and AinA that I probably wouldn't have otherwise written. Make this Commission something to bring back my "Quiz Mojo" please Kyle - it's ages since I've written anything and my Adventures in Authoring title has been languishing half done since February now!
