It depends on the types of questions you wish to ask. If it's more technical, perhaps Sci/Tech. If it takes a more historical bent, maybe 'Specialized History'. If it's mixed trivia about eyeglasses (who wears them, etc.), maybe Thematic Fun in General. It's reliant on the lens through which you decide to look. ;) Reply #1. Sep 10 13, 5:38 PM |

I like being the focal point. PS-- I knew that this would become a thread of puns in the blink of an eye. Reply #3. Sep 10 13, 6:11 PM |

It might also fit in Entertainment (Beauty Accessories and Fashion), if you want to focus on them in that way. Reply #4. Sep 10 13, 6:44 PM |

I've just thought - you could try reading glasses in Literature. Reply #6. Sep 10 13, 7:15 PM |

Maybe you could do a quiz on famous bespectacled figures. That lens itself to the People category. Reply #7. Sep 10 13, 10:53 PM |

I agree, this thread is a sight for sore eyes. (And there are actually some useful suggestions buried under the puns.) Reply #10. Sep 11 13, 1:59 AM |

I'm going to turn a blind eye to all the previous nonsense, and refer you back to Kyle's first paragraph. Reply #11. Sep 11 13, 3:02 AM |

All right, thanks, guys! It's going to be info about eyeglasses (nearsightedness, farsightedness, history of glasses) so I think I'll put it into Thematic Fun. Thanks for all your help! You've opened my eyes to the types of categories. Reply #12. Sep 11 13, 3:04 PM |

And if it turns out not to be suitable for Thematic Fun, whoever edits it will make helpful suggestions of where to put it, or how to fix it so it will be suitable and you can decide what to do with it. The editors are very helpful with things like that :D Sounds like it will be an interesting quiz when it's done :D Reply #13. Sep 11 13, 3:56 PM |

Drink some lemonade. It always helps quench thirst. Say, do any of you wear glasses? Reply #16. Sep 13 13, 5:47 AM |

Along the same line, does anybody have any suggestions as to what category I should submit a quiz on bullfighting? I have been advised it is not a sport and I don't know where to put it. Can anyone see the proper place for this quiz, with or without glasses. It is quite a spectacle :) Reply #17. Sep 13 13, 5:57 AM |

National Pastimes? I wear glasses. I recently went back to two pairs rather than bifocals because I need so many prisms. It is not easy, but at least I can use both eyes at the same time now. Reply #19. Sep 13 13, 8:22 AM |

Reading and distance, need one to find the other. Have backup pairs, but current ones are not strong enough (eye dr. said that was as much as they could do). Tried bifocals, not good for me, causes dizziness. When I was a myopic little kid we found one 'doctor' who envisioned a world without glasses, if only one did the proper exercizes. Well, one did, and it made no difference whatever, so one has been wearing glasses/briefly contacts/had radial keratotomy since 7 years old. That doc just didn't get the big picture. I 'see' a time in future when there will be a parts store for body parts that are just worn out. Of course for major organs, one would have to have consults, fittings etc. Can imagine the added insurance premiums for that! Reply #20. Sep 13 13, 8:45 AM |
