That's a bit like asking whether the runners in a marathon will keep on going after they've passed the winning post. I may well play some of the countries again, particularly if there are new quizzes, but there won't be the same compulsion. Reply #1. Aug 04 10, 2:48 AM |

I'm not on the above list, but I will probably keep playing - both for the points and the challenge of digging until I find the answers. Reply #2. Aug 04 10, 7:26 AM |

I'm not on the list either. I missed 6 days while on holiday, but I'm actually nine behind because I messed up three quizzes. So some people may have a perfect attendance and have done all the quizzes without scoring enough. I have no idea which countries I've missed (although I remember one was USA). Reply #3. I will probably keep taking the quizzes past 195. I can still test my memory from the first time I took the quiz. Take any new quizzes which make the list. Look though different areas of the Wiki page. There is so much information to absorb, that I don't think anyone can take it all in the first time around. Reply #4. Aug 04 10, 10:48 AM |

Since I'm not on the list, of course I will play on! Reply #5. Aug 04 10, 4:40 PM |

I will probably play on once I get the 195 days badge. It will be a long time for me before I see that badge. Reply #6. Aug 04 10, 4:47 PM |

I missed seeing that it was starting, so joined a few days late. I will absolutely keep riding around, but will probably abandon the daily food reports - fufu and cassava have worn thin after a single circuit! Maybe I'll think of another interesting thing to report on daily, but not sure what. Somebody suggested music at one point, and interesting native flora or fauna could also be done. It should ideally be something which could have multiple entries for each country (so not just reporting on their national motto, some of which are amazing!), and which would be interesting both to research and to read about. Would anybody like to suggest topics to which they might contribute, and which they think would make the Bus Ride more entertaining for the participants? Food was a great topic, and nothing else as good springs to my mind. Reply #7. Aug 04 10, 7:30 PM |

First of all, Looney-tunes, you've a wonderful job with the food reports and you deserve a special badge for that! Secondly, maybe it would be fun to write about the holidays and festivals celebrated in each country for the next time around. Reply #9. Aug 05 10, 1:42 AM |

I like that idea! Every country has at least a national day of independence that would have some sort of traditional celebrations associated with it, and I have noticed a lot have multiple important days, often with special foods (which is why I noticed them). I'll try to think of a good name for the thread, and post it on the first day of the second tour, in about a week. Reply #10. Aug 05 10, 2:27 PM |

National costumes might be another idea for the next or another rotation. Note - people in England do not normally dress as Morris dancers or Beefeaters. Reply #12. Aug 06 10, 8:45 AM |

Since the tour actually started with only 192 countries online, we seem to have started over before the end. India was actually the first country on the packed lunches thread, which has therefore reached its logical conclusion. Reply #20. Aug 12 10, 2:17 AM |
