I love the advantage commercials with the dog singing "There ain't no bugs on me" and the cat singing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". They are both so cute and I can't help smiling when I see them. Another one that I love is a Burger King commercial advertising a Ranch Melt. The guy has a ranch tooth and it says "Ranchhhhhhhhh" all the time. Me and my stepfather always mock it. I am sure other people found it to be an annoying commercial but it always made me laugh. I also like the freecreditreport.com commercials with the guy singing in the restaurant and in his car. My favorite commercial would be the Geico commercial with the talking lizard (and not the cavemen). There's just something I like about the talking lizard. Reply #2. Sep 03 08, 9:23 PM |

I like some of the Mac vs PC commercials. I think my favourite was the "cancel or allow" one... "You are coming to a sad realization... Cancel or Allow?" *Sigh* "...Allow" Reply #3. Sep 04 08, 4:51 PM |

How about those e*trade commercials w/ the baby? I love those. Especially the one w/ the clown. "Me and the boys were talking about what to do w/ all this extra coin and I was like, "I'm renting a clown" *giggle* And I did, Bobo here. And, uh, I really underestimated the creepiness." classic Reply #4. Sep 09 08, 6:02 AM |

I've enjoyed the boy running home with a Hovis loaf under his arm, and running through a hundred years of history. Reply #7. Sep 20 08, 2:45 PM |

I like the Burger King commercials with the guys dressed up as burgers and going to Subway and stuff. And also I have a ultra-favorite one but I forget what it's for. I'll come back when I remember. Reply #10. Oct 05 08, 3:59 PM |

One of my favorite commercials is one that I haven't seen since I was a child. And, unfortunately, no one has posted it to YouTube yet. It was an FTD commercial--a company that delivers flowers here in the United States--introducing their new birthday bouquet. The commercial involved a busy female police officer directing traffic through a busy intersection. Someone hands her the birthday bouquet; she pulls the whistle out of it; and bam! Instant party right in the middle of the street. Bands are playing, confetti is flying, balloons are falling onto the revelers. It was a great commercial, and I haven't seen it in over 30 years. slytherinwitch, Thank you for putting that link up. I have never seen that ad and it was amazing! I don't usually say that about a commercial either because very few will get my attention long enough to watch all the way through. I hope the person/people behind it won an award of some kind. RedSox, re your post #10: you may like the commercial, but if you can't remember the product or brand then it's not a good commercial. The whole idea of advertising is to get readers/viewers/listeners to remember what is being advertised. My favourite commercials are oldies but goodies: The early Volkswagen Beetle commercials by Doyle, Dane, Berbach (1: "It's ugly but it gets you there." and 2: "Ever wonder how the guy who drives the snowplough gets to work?")and the Clara Peller 'Where's the beef" ads for Wendy's produced by Dancer Fitgerald Samples Advertising. I used to write and produce radio and television commercials and I mourn the decline in quality and creativity over the past 20 years. Ever since MBAs got into the advertising business, creativity has taken a back seat to bottom line advertising. Too many sharp pencils and not enough sharp minds these days. Reply #18.
