Anyone think this show has a chance without Charlie Sheen?

Yes, absolutely, and I think we've been here before.

Thought it was odd that there were no posts about "Two and a Half Men", must have missed it when I scanned the board. I've been reading some previews of the upcoming season they don't sound very promising.

Will there be a new main character? Or will we be watching "One and a Half Men"?

Regardless of whether Charlie Sheen is there or not, I think this show is way past its prime.

From what I've read in various "entertainment" magazines, they kill off Charlie Harper and Ashton Kutcher's character takes over as landlord of the beach house. I thought the show was heading downhill in the past couple of seasons it just resorts to the same types of jokes over and over again. I must admit I'm curious to see how the dynamic of the show will change. Apparently Charlie Sheen is getting roasted on Comedy Central and that's going to air on the same night and time as the premiere of "Two and a Half Men". I think I'll record the premiere and watch the roast. I think seeing the real Charlie getting killed on stage is more entertaining.

Ashton Kutcher is joining the cast, doublemm.

As far as watching it, I gave up the shows which focus on disrespecting other people.

:)

You know how some shows ruin an actors reputation, it's going to difficult to picture Ashton Kutcher as anything different then his character Michael Kelso from "That '70s Show"

What a great show that was! Unfortunately another example of a programme which outstayed its welcome though (I'm so cynical).

Not being a fan of Ashton Kutcher, I'm not sure I'll watch the show on a regular basis. I'm curious enough that I'll likely watch one episode, just to see if I'll like it.

turbotude, just to let you know the the first episode (Sept. 19) continues as a part two on Sept 26.

In years past I looked forward to the new season of "Two and a Half Men" not so much this year. I just don't think it will work without Charlie Sheen.

Thanks for the heads-up, Jjdoitt! I'd be disappointed if I missed the 'pilot' for this revamped sitcom.

It could possibly work, as long as the writing is still top notch. The rest of the original cast members have the necessary on-screen chemistry to pull it off. Guess we'll just have to see what (if anything) Mr. Kutcher brings to the table.

Last night I watched the pathetic new series of Two and a Half Men. Won't waste time watching it in future. Kutcher is no better than he was in his previous series. Pity they lost Charlie, at least he WAS funny

I missed the premiere watching "Dancing with the Stars", will have to remember to see next week as I learned here there's a second part to the premiere.

I don't think it will be the same without Charlie, hoping good things for him, watched his roast, and he was very gracious at the Emmy's, wishing the cast of "Two and a Half Men" the best.

He is no longer saying he's "winning" now, with the love of his family he said, "I've already won".

I want to see a show just about Berta - she was the funniest character in my opinion!

I saw Berta in an episode of "Maude" the other day. She looked about 20 and was the same witty character.

In the original series, each of the main characters was played to perfection by the actors and any one of them would have been seriously missed as Charlie is. Without Charlie Sheen it is nothing and as I said before Ashton Kutcher is pathetic.
