I think he should get clean. I'm not sure the show could survive without him though Reply #2. Feb 25 11, 3:01 PM |

I wish he would get clean, but if we removed all the doper stars and the obnoxious ones their wouldn t be many left Where did all the David Nivens go? Reply #3. Feb 25 11, 3:11 PM |

I aquaint him with Lindsay Lohan. Both are very talented but they seem to think that they are above conforming to the real life. He is very funny, but how can we laugh when he is one overdose (alcohol op drugs) away from dying. Reply #4. Feb 25 11, 3:15 PM |

I don't think much of him, and don't watch the show. However, by all accounts, he always showed up on time, and was prepared for work. I firmly believe that if you do your work properly, your personal life is no business of your employers. (Of course, if he were in jail for 6 months, he would *not* be showing up and doing his work, and *then* he could be fired) Reply #5. Feb 25 11, 3:20 PM |

If he keeps running his mouth the way he is, the cancellation of the season could result in a longer cancellation....of the entire show. I heard a saying once... Behave like your children are watching. I doubt even that would make Charlie realize his career, and reputation, are not in the best of health. Reply #6. Feb 25 11, 4:57 PM |

I love Charlie Sheen & he cracks me up! That show wouldn't last long without him! Reply #7. Feb 25 11, 6:27 PM |

Stay. It is sort of ironic that CBS is upset that in his personal life he is displays the same party boy tendencies that are central to his character on 'Two and a Half Men'. Reply #8. Feb 25 11, 6:34 PM |

HoneyBee How you doin? You know quite frankly I have a hard time with people interferring with peoples lives because they do not meet our expectations and afterall we really don t know all the facts about Charlie. Some people do get well without intervention and some even get worse with it. If he has done illegal things like with dope he needs to pay those consequences otherwise, it's his life. And really how can people "bottom out" with everyone trying to be the coach? In a way I don t blame him for being angry but his choice of words was poor to say the least and he is paying the price for it. Reply #9. Feb 26 11, 8:44 AM |

I agree Sizzleen, but I hate to see such a talented person throw his life down the drain without at least trying to get some serious help.I am afraid he will end up like so many more celebrities that left us to soon because of their addictions. No one can make him do anything he doesn't want to, but I am afraid he is not drug and alcohol free enough to make reasonable decisions at this time. Reply #10. Feb 26 11, 6:30 PM |

I wish for the sake of his children that he seeks help for his addictions. I heard that the season has been canceled after his latest remarks. Reply #11. Feb 26 11, 9:25 PM |

Right on HoneyBee! Also I think that so many times people just need a scapegoat to make themselves feel better and these TV shrinks are power players.Interventions should be handled with much discernment. Also besides doing drugs and we really don t know how often etc. maybe he is just plain nutty anyway. I know if I had millions I would probably tell a few people to kiss my grits. To me it looks like he lost or never really had any bearings and nothing short of a miracle can fix that, BUT I believe in miracles. Reply #12. Feb 27 11, 5:52 AM |

As the show stands right now, it wasn't pleasant for me to watch; as someone mentioned before, a lot of his activities that were what his character did were just done exponentially by Charlie himself. So some of the jokes came across as awkward to me. His latest rants tell me that if he DIDN'T say them under the influence, then he needs to be committed, because those aren't the words of a sane man. Reply #13. Feb 27 11, 7:30 AM |

Spaudrey what observational skills, I really liked that reply. Did you also think that the show had become much more vulgar? I did and wouldn t have it on when kids were in the house. It could have been just as funny without all the sexual exposes. Anyway, as a sidelight Charlie was born Carlos Irwin Estevez, so that just goes to show ya what happens when ya change your name sometimes. Reply #14. Feb 27 11, 9:05 AM |

Charlie Sheen adopted the last name of his father, actor Martin Sheen. (The elder Sheen, born Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez, took his stage name from the Catholic luminary Bishop Fulton J. Sheen.) It's not uncommon for actors of any generation to change their birth names to something less unwieldy for the general audience to remember and pronounce. At least, "Charlie" is a direct translation of "Carlitos," (though "Martin" doesn't reflect the father's original moniker). Besides, what's wrong with emulating one's dad, anyway? Reply #15. Absolutely nothing is wrong with it. It s just that more then likely he wouldn t be in the mess he is in now if he had kept his original, because in all likelyhood he wouldn t have become an actor. Reply #16. Feb 27 11, 3:26 PM |

Perhaps he would have gotten into trouble, even if he had been a philosophy prof named Aristotle Husserl Anderson. :) ________ Our culture sets these people up for failure, I think, if the seed of destruction is already there. I can't imagine how it would be to serve as a target of constant speculation. At any rate, I wish Charlie Sheen well. He is a fellow human being, after all. Reply #17. Feb 27 11, 5:14 PM |

I might want to change my vote to 'GO' after watching his interview on 'The Today Show'. He seems to blame everyone but himself for his own actions. I wish him the best and feel sympathy for the cast and crew of the show. But I can't blame CBS for pulling the plug on the season. Reply #19. Feb 28 11, 10:35 AM |

Charlie has stated he wants a raise in order to return to the show. I suspect this will result in "so long, Charlie". It's too bad for the other show members. Reply #20. Feb 28 11, 11:12 AM |
