Fried leeks is most definitely the best. It works as a nice appetizer or snack especially good for parties. They're like mild, light versions of onion rings. Here's the recipe I like to use for fried leeks. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/leek-rings-recipe/index.html Most certainly the best way to get rid of 50 leeks.... Unless you want to freeze them and ship them to me posthaste so I can make fried leeks. ;) Reply #1. Mar 08 13, 3:49 PM |

Nah... Par-boil your leeks, wrap in a slice of tasty smoked ham, lay in a ceramic baking dish and cover with a thick, creamy cheese sauce (as strong as you like) bake until golden and enjoy! I never refer to a recipe for anything, just bake what you like until its done how you like it! Reply #2. Mar 08 13, 5:53 PM |

Thanks for the suggestions, they all sound tasty! Leeks seem to go well with all things delicious--ham, cheese, bacon, cream. I made a leek and potato soup which was pretty darn good. I think Salami's fried leeks are next on the list! Reply #6. Mar 11 13, 9:03 PM |
