I would say #5, Order of the Phoenix, because of all the Snape and Lucius scenes. That was almost enough to excuse the appalling lack of Draco in that film.

Oddly enough, until 7, it had been my least favourite book in the series, so loving the film was quite a pleasant surprise.

I didn't like the 5th movie at all actually. My favorite was probably the 3rd. It was accurate to a certain extent and a pretty good movie overall.

I hated the third movie. It seemed very choppily edited, jumped all over the place and was hard to follow.

I definitely think the third was the best.

Why? Can you say what you liked about it?

Definitely had the best story-line. I do agree that book 3 is alot better than its mvie version, but the film was still really good. I enjoyed the new Dumbledore, and Buckbeak was one of my favorite parts, as well. Oh, and let's not forget the most interesting and rather comical Professor Trelawney. She gave me quite a laugh!

Hmm lets see so far I have liked to movies overall but of course having read the books there are somethings I would have done different. At this point the second movie is my least favorite. I guess I find it too long and too dark. As far as my favorite I guess it would be the first one.

The Order of the Pheonix isn't bad however, I've watched it twice and I can't really remember much from it. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was quite good as was the goblet of fire. All of them are good.

I liked all the films but as they progress through the series it is getting more and more difficult to keep faith with the books.
I have heard rumours that the next one will be in two parts.
Has anyone else heard this?

I liked the 3rd one the best. It was the only one that they made good changes in.

I liked the first one best because it was all new to the audience (even though they'd read the book probably).

I think what you've heard re the movie being split up is the Deathly Hallows will be split as there is very little that can be removed from the movie that was in the book.

Splitting 7 into two films is a blatant attempt to milk the series and get more money from it. I intend to stop after #6. There's no need to see the boring odyssey that is the camping trip while Neville bravely fights actual DEs offstage while running an undercover resistance group in the heart of the action. 30 minutes of sulking 'Woe is me' Harry and 'When's she going to kiss me, Ron'? In a word, boring.

I absolutely love the fourth book and was mostly anticipating it to be my favourite! i wasnt disappointed lets put it that way! i love all the movies equally and for all different reasons...

but i agree with Chilax14 the standards of the movies increased with the third movie and i like the changes...the Harry Potter novels seem to be the only ones that can stick to some extent with the story line...ive not got a bad word about them!

I love all the movies, but as the series progress it becomes difficult to follow unless you've read the books..
I'm looking forward to Deathly Hallows
Ok, let's keep to the question. My most favourite is Philosopher's stone. They were so cute and innocent, something they lost as the saga progressed.
