Hhmm, "a democrat" - not sure whether that's a good thing or not. Guess it depends on your politics.

"Oracle" is an anagram of my first name and this is also my nickname at work.

It came about because I have an enormous store of trivia (not surprising since I frequent places like FunTrivia) and because I am very good at spelling, punctuation and grammar. People in my office started asking me questions instead of looking it up for themselves - "How do you spell...?", "Is there an apostrophe in...?", "What's the postcode for...?" and inevitably I would know the answer. Finally one of my work colleagues bestowed the nickname "oracle" on me as a result.

Funny story - one day I came back to the office after lunch and one of the young girls in the office asked me, "Why is the sky blue?" so I explained - being an ex-science teacher that was an easy question. "I told you she would know" said one of the other young people. So the girl who posted the question then asked "What is the meaning of life?" in a smug way, and I am sure she was thinking I wouldn't be able to answer that. So I said "42" and walked away. Half of the office were killing themselves laughing (those who were familiar with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) and the other half were totally bewildered wondering what was so funny.

I ran part of my name through an anagram maker and got:

"Resonant precepts."
