The lowest number I can see in my profile for Expert wins: (Champion Division, beat 5 players) Reply #1. Feb 20 12, 1:52 AM |

Regarding the following quote on the Champion Division page: Have you already won this hour's category in the past? If so you will play here against other players who have also won it in the past, and will likely earn more points here. Not only that, but you can also increase your Expert Champion Rating this hour if you can beat your fellow champs in this Champ Round! Does anyone know how you earn more points in the Champion Division? From what I can tell the scoring and placement bonuses are the same... Reply #2. Apr 18 12, 3:34 PM |

Hi there. I won my division for the expert game, and only sometimes do I get to play with the champions. I dont get a lot of high scores though..I just enjoy the trivia & get even happier when I see I have won a badge. Good luck to you ;) Reply #3. Apr 22 12, 1:58 PM |

I'm hesitant to bump an old thread, but I can't find the answer. What is the minimum number of players that need to be beat for a recorded Champion Division win? Reply #4. Mar 02 14, 1:10 AM |

I suspect there need to be a minimum of 5 players for an Expert game win to count. I've a couple of times had the frustrating experience of having one of my favourite topics come up mid-morning UK time, when most players are either asleep (in North America) or at work (elsewhere). If it's a relatively specialised subject there may only be 3 or 4 of us playing in the Champions division and a win under those circumstances won't count. Reply #5. Mar 02 14, 6:33 AM |

Totally lame, I just had the situation where four people played in the Champion division so I got no credit for a Champion level win for the category. Reply #6. Sep 13 14, 1:50 PM |

Yesterday I won a game which only two of us played, but even that is better than the time I was the only player. The topic was the Hanoverians and my eight correct answers netted me over 200 points. Reply #7. Sep 13 14, 3:27 PM |

It is totally bogus that you have to beat a certain number of players in the Champions division to get credit. I can perhaps see it in the regular divisions but you shouldn't be penalized for lack of competition in the Champions division. Reply #8. Dec 08 14, 9:56 AM |

You need to have five players in the other levels to get credit for a win too. It doesn't happen often but it does happen in the lowest level sometimes. It's a rule of the game. You can accept it or be outraged over something you have no control over. Reply #9. Dec 08 14, 11:19 AM |

Personally I dont want to be credited with beating three people anyway. Do other players really want to pick up cheap wins? I can see how it might be frustrating that more people haven't played the hour though. You could even say I'm outraged when not enough players bother to play that hour! Reply #10. Personally, it doesn't matter to me whether the win is against 3 people, 20 people, or 100 people. Nothing feels cheap. Reply #11. Dec 08 14, 6:31 PM |
