Subject: Nature's Fury

After hearing about the earthquake in Virginia gave me an idea for a thread. Anyone been in any of nature's fury? Earthquake,flood,hurricane,landslide,avalanche or tornado? I have been through 3 tornadoes,one earthquake(too young to remember) and a flood. When I was 14 years old the tornado destroyed the house next door to me and left mine standing. I was very lucky.

In 1994 I experienced a flood. Then in 1997 my family survived through a ice storm. I have also gone through several hurricanes especially the ones we had to leave our home because we were told to. Reply #2. Sep 25 11, 2:28 PM |

A year or two ago, my chair jerked as though someone had run behind me and pushed it. That was from an earthquake in Birmingham, about seventy miles away as the crow flies. If that's the worst fury I experience, I shall be happy. Reply #3. Sep 26 11, 4:15 PM |
