Cheese strings really do have to be the food of the devil - an abomination, but sadly oh so popular with kids in their packed lunch... ewk big time. Cannot believe someone likes Stinking Bishop but hates all other cheeses - it really is an acquired taste. Gave a guest some Feta cheese in a Greek salad the other night and he almost had apoplexy - big yuk moment - he also said the "grapes" tasted funny... mmmmm didnt have the heart to tell him they were olives. Ya can't please em all. Reply #21. Aug 19 08, 4:56 AM |

Hmmm... No wonder I keep confusing "Cheese" with "Chess". Whenever asomeone says to me " Move your stinking bishop, Benny!" I slide my piece of cheese across the chess/checker board instead of the chess piece, thus messing up the surface...:-) Reply #23. Aug 19 08, 5:35 AM |

I can't stand the majority of those plastic-wrapped cheese slices - processed rubber, if you ask me. I can't seem to taste the stuff, there is just a lump of rubber in my mouth when I eat it, and I'm sure it has minimal nutritional value too. I prefer Cheddar and cheddar-type cheeses - the stronger, the better. I admit to enjoying Feta cheese too, possibly because it's a little salty sometimes, and I do love 'funny grapes' or olives as they are otherwise known. I'm am considering buying a puppy after Uni finishes this year, and I have no trouble admitting I want to name him "Gromit". I anticipate saying "Cheese, please Gromit" for my own hilarity. I should train him/her to roll over, or something cute when I give the 'cheese' command - now wouldn't that be something. Reply #25. Aug 20 08, 10:26 PM |

Love cheese , went to Shropshire last year and visited a a farm where they made their own local cheese very interesting. Love strong tasting cheeses like a stilton , will not eat any processed cheese or cheeses that have cranberries in and the like i just want proper cheese! Reply #26. Aug 22 08, 12:14 PM |

I think half the boring meals on earth can be improved with a simple addition of cheese. Cheddar and similar are my favourites, and with extras added like chili or apricot. I was also introduced to Stilton, with and without fruit or ginger which is also quite different from Cheddar and also one of my favourites. I draw the line at anything runny though (a la Monty Python) so Brie and especially cottage cheese have no place in my house. Reply #27. Aug 25 08, 4:49 PM |

The best food in the world is Cheez Waffies. I break them apart, lick off the cheese, and throw away the cracker part. If they sold the cheese paste in Cheez Waffies in jars, I would live on it. Reply #29. Sep 11 08, 11:58 PM |

My favourite cheese is Creamy Lanashire, it's quite mild and you can use for for virtually anything. I usually just eat it in chunks. You can get Crumbly Lancashire as well. I also like Cheddar, Double Gloucester, Red Leicester, Wenslydale. I like english cheeses the best. Oh and not to forget Dairylea. Reply #30. Sep 20 08, 3:23 PM |

Cheese is good in small doses. With too much, it's almost overwhelming which can result in some pretty bad mojo. Reply #31. Sep 20 08, 4:24 PM |

I love all cheeses - especially French ones - there's nothing better that a nice runny Camembert in my opinion. Reply #32. Sep 21 08, 5:47 AM |

I love edam, gouda, baked brie and the squishy packed in liquid mozzarella, not the dried out and square block. Reply #33. Nov 21 08, 12:43 PM |

The really good Edam that the Dutch keep for themselves is nice, its more like a cheddar, not at all waxy. Scandinavian cheeses are also good, gjetost/brunost is my favourite, nice toasted on rye bread, Esrom, Havarti and Tilsetter, all good cheeses for many purposes. Good British cheeses include Sage Derby and Red Windsor as well as the mainstream ones. Reply #36. Nov 26 08, 5:57 PM |

I love cheese! All kinds, all shapes, all sizes, all flavors...yummy cheese! What's best about cheese is that it has very few carbs if any! Reply #38. Jan 17 09, 8:53 PM |

Lots of fat though. I love cheese, all sorts except the processed slices and cottage cheese. Tescos used to do a really wonderful chedder cheese with fruit cake. They don't seem to do it any more, which is probably a good thing for the sake of my waistline. Reply #39. Jan 18 09, 2:39 AM |
