Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin, both because of their contributions as founding fathers, and also because of their respective inventions.

Darwin would be interesting to meet, or Leo da Vinci and Thomas Edison at the same time to discuss how they came up with their ideas

John Lennon - he was my favorite Beatle. I liked his outspokenness and his sense of humor.

Christopher Marlowe - to find out the truth behind the Shakespeare authorship mystery. I'm giving 5 to 1 on Kit.

I'll take those odds, Daver. You grab Marlowe, I'll deal with the 'culchie' from Stratford.

This will never ever happen, and it is kind of mean, but I want to take the pope to a Slayer chow.

Thanks for the link. I know I should have read it from start to finish (and may well do when I've a bit more time), but it is quite long and also - in my view (and I did read the first half) - so suppositious as to become rather absurd. I'm actually more inclined to believe that Marlowe may have written Shakespeare's plays than I am to believe that this verbal detection provides the evidence of it. I lost the plot when the author moved away from the monument inscription to the adjoining gravestone inscription, added the word 'Christ' which wasn't there (!) and theorised that this was a 'code' for 'Christopher Marlowe' (!) I presume the article goes on to explain the motive for Shakespeare or Ann Hathaway or whoever officiated his burial wanting to expose his non-authorship of his plays, but I didn't get that far. Sorry Dave, I'm up for a good old conspiracy theory as much as the next person, but this one is too convoluted. It's like the claim that the existence of God can be proved (or disproved) by mathematical equation - yes, but so what!
