Subject: How do you take your coffee?

Posted by: houston1127
Date: Aug 26 11

My brother grinds his own beans and uses a coffee press.

My mother adds cinnamon to Maxwell House Half-Caf.

My sister-in-law goes to Starbucks.

I brew it straight snd strong, sometimes adding cayenne pepper.

How does the Funtrivia community drink their coffee?

Reposted in the correct category!

I drink my coffee black, mostly, sometimes with a little cream or half-and-half. I stay away from the flavored creamers.

Once again...

Full power coffee (no decaf) with hazelnut or coconut creamer and real sugar.

Two cups a day on weekends only and never in spring or summer.

:)

Straight coffee, lots of nonfat dairy creamer, and absolutely no sugar.

I do prefer fresh ground to instant, but it tends to play havoc with my stomach if I drink too much. My preference is for Colombian, white with one sugar.

Has anyone ever tried "chock full of nuts" coffee?

Yes, Daymare - the brand started out as the in-house coffee at a diner of the same name in New York City. I am a bit of a coffee snob, but Chock full o'Nuts is really quite good, especially the "brick", which is vacuum packed. The French Roast is a bit too acidic for my taste, but the Colombian is pretty smooth.

I take my coffee the same way that my dad did when he was alive, which is one teaspoon of sugar & one teaspoon of creamer.

I wandered through the coffee aisle yesterday and just enjoyed the aroma of coffee.

Then I looked at the prices.....up $2 to $3 from last fall.

Yikes!

Triple double (that's regular coffee with three hits of cream, two sugars). I avoid Starbucks (I'm not into chi-chi coffee), flavoured brews (hazelnut, French Vanilla, etc.), but I like iced coffee on a hot day. My favourite purveyor of coffee is Tim Horton's.

When I open the chat boards there stands:

How do you take your coff...(Hobbies)

The first idea that crosses my mind is "how do you take your coffin? :)

Jolana, I will most likely take mine laying down.
As for coffee, fresh, hot, and slightly sweet, just like me.

My son grinds beans by hand in a ceramic grinder, and brews it immediately. He has been using a filter machine or a ?afetière, but has recently discovered the joys of the moka pot. For the last two years, his favourite place for drinking coffee was Kaffeine near Oxford Circus. Sometimes he drinks his black but he doesn't sweeten it.

Left to my own devices, I dig a spoon in a jar of granules... Normal early and decaf late. I never drink it black or sweeten it.

He's just introduced me to a compromise - Kenco make a product that's mostly normal instant but has some finely ground coffee added. More interesting without the effort. I am converted.

See if this works. That should have read cafetière (cafetiere with an accent on the middle e). Blame the software gremlins.

Black.
Brand? Unimportant.
Flavor? Unimportant although darker is better.
Temperature? Actually, I prefer lukewarm.

A rich dark roast, black. Sometimes I'll flavor it with a hint of dark chocolate, hazelnut or cinnamon. NEVER decaf!

Well, I order mine on line, from a place that roasts it the same day they ship it. I keep it in the freezer so it doesn't go stale. I happen to like to flavored ones, particularly their Caramel Nut (the only place I know of who makes it).
