The first movie I have a conscious memory of seeing was "The Parent Trap" -- the original, with Haley Mills.

Most likely, I saw various Disney films prior to that, but this was the first that my mother left me and my brother in the care of the theatre matron, while she (my mother) went shopping.

The first movie I have any memory of seeing was Bambi. I still remember sobbing my eyes out when Bambi's mother died. Clearly, I'm still traumatized all these years later!

My brother took me to a double-feature ( yeah, I'm that old) of " The Bikini Machine" and " The Batman Movie". Both of them missing an Oscar nomination by a wisp......

Walt Disneys Snow White when I was about five, petrified of the wicked Queen, got to be Snow White in a school play due to same coloring and dreading the Wicked Queen scene coming up.

Postcards-- I LOVED Haley Mills when I was young. I saw Pollyana when I was around 8 or so, and I walked around for days speaking with her accent. It must have driven my parents crazy!

It probably wasn't my first, but when I was 4 for some reason I was obsessed with "the Birds". It was going to be on TV and I wanted to watch. I had to sneek a peek (this was in '67)

It must have been a Soviet fairy-tale. They were free on Czech cinemas and noone over the age of 6 came there:)

Yes! I remember crying too. It was awful! & my little sister got so scared by the fire that she hid under the seat and wouldn't come out. I bet my mother regretted bringing us.

I think it was "The Exorcist". I had a demented father who made us kids watch it. I remember being scared to death & I didn't understand a lot of it back then, thank goodness! That is definitely NOT a movie for kids to watch! YIKES!

Yikes! My dad was kinder. Every weekend he would take me to a theater that would feature a Disney Film. The first movie I remember distinctly was Pinocchio, I was about 3 years old.

"Journey to the Center of the Earth" in 1959/60. It stands out as my first trip to a theatre, but I was too young to be there and didn't really watch. I also remember my mother taking all us kids to a drive-in so she could see "Inherit the Wind". I must have been able to read because I remember the credits. Once again, didn't watch the movie.

On TV I watched Cinderella and Wizard of Oz, of course. I was very afraid of witches when I was little so Oz scared me.
