Up until a week ago I 100% understood Derrick Rose's choice not to play this year, he pushed himself for the team and came back early last year with disastorous results.
But watching Joachim Noah playing through his foot injury, the entire team playing possessed and going up 3-1 in a series they were expected to lose, Nate Robinson with his head in bucket during timeouts last night on a thinned out team, I think Rose has to step out on the floor tomorrow.
The Warriors David Lee with something torn in his hip, who wasn't expected to play the rest of the sesason stepping out on the floor and inspiring his team to win the clinching game of their Round 1 series last night says more about how the league as a whole, and team leaders are viewing this post season.
How hard Chicago and other teams are trying to get out of the first round of the playoffs is a great thing to see.
Because he has been cleared for a while now to play, I think it would be a bad move for Derrick not to play tomorrow and it could do damage to his image and certainly damage his ability to be a team leader. He doesn't have to get out there and be the Derrick Rose we last remmebered, just be out there and contribute in the spots he can, he is so talented he will find a way to be productive even when not at the point guard position.
