Here are some stats from the BBC on "Have more famous people died in 2016?" http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-38329740 Reply #21. Dec 31 16, 2:42 PM |

No, that's an article on the stats of pre-written obituaries that the BBC ran for the years the article covers. The article even mentions that in some cases obituaries were written when a death was reported. There were times a "celebrity" didn't get a full obituary from the BBC, again from the article. I put celebrity in quotes because the article even asks what makes someone a celebrity. Reply #22. Dec 31 16, 4:02 PM |

To compare 2015 to 2016, this is a partial list from Wikipedia. If you click on each month, more people are listed by the month. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015#Deaths Reply #24. Jan 02 17, 10:47 PM |

O.K Mira, I concede on that. You have the facts at hand. Someone suggested to me that we were hearing more about it in 2016 because more of the famous people who died were very famous. P.S. I was just listening to the radio and hearing about Vera Rubin an American astrophysicist who discovered dark matter. She died on 25 December 2016. Reply #25. Jan 03 17, 5:28 AM |
