Subject: Any other mythology geeks?

When I came over to the Humanities board, I noticed that everyone here was talking about grammar and English and lexical terms and whatnot. Don't get me wrong, I love grammar. I correct other people's excessively, and when I spell a word wrong, I pout for the whole day.

But when I play a Humanities quiz, chances are that it's not a quiz about grammar, it'll be about mythology.

[rant alert] I got into the Percy Jackson series when I was in fifth grade, and I thought, [in 10-year-old me voice] "Oh, wow! What interesting mythology and concepts!"

And then, I started branching over to Egyptian and Norse, and I slowly descended into my mythology madness.

But then I thought, "Hey! Why stop there?" So I planted a bunch of new trees, so I could branch over to them. I learned more about Hindu myth (thanks, Ganapati), and Mayan myth (thanks, Ixkakow, for chocolate), and at around that time I was doing a unit abut early Mesopotamia and Sumer.

BOOM! Nammu and Anu and Ki and Enki and all the other guys. (But seriously, why did Anu have children with his sister AND his mother? Their genetics must be a little messed up now...)

Anyway, is there anyone else here who's kind of obsessed with this stuff?
