Subject: Fill It In Information

Posted by: Midget40

Is there any particular reason that you cant see the interesting information in the 'Review complied quiz' section? Unlike all the other formats it only shows the 'question text'.

I know I can check it from there but I do like to do a final edit in the format its going to appear in.

Is there a minimum length for the text or a minimum number of words that players have to fill in?

I have just written a quiz and when I check completeness I get the following message:

Error: incorrect number of questions found.
Question 1: OK

That message is a glitch that doesn't keep you from submitting. Some have just gone ahead and submitted through the message, others have figured out how to make it go away, such as saving and closing the template then reopening it, or changing to the Old Editor - at which stage it detects the actual number of blanks in the single question box.

While the New Editor seems to be happy to let you submit with hardly any, the editors will ask for at least ten words/phrases to be entered.

I tried out the fill it format for the first time recently, and got the same error message.
I eventually unchecked the box near the top of the edit screen about the forms it can be played in (the one by one/full page/timed box) and the message went away.
Not sure why, I was tearing my hair out by that point, and just tried it, and it worked :-)
It took me a while cos it's usually the first thing I do, but I'm just getting back into the swing of writing again, and learning the new editor and formats.
So many new things to try - great fun!
