Subject: Single ques - repurpose like quiz?

While I submitted a single question for the 20-question game, I just noticed that five questions are in the rejected submissions list. I had written those questions about 10 years ago when my grammar and diction skills were not up to the mark. Those rejections mainly point to that. I also was not this active back then, so I even made a few mistakes related to semantics (like time dependency).

However, after that, I studied and worked in Europe and North America, which gave me a reason to enhance my linguistic skills. I also recently got my C2 certificate in English, so I feel more comfortable with it. I still have a lot to learn from you all, but I now at least feel empowered to work on your feedback.

I value all of your feedback, so I never touched on those questions. All those questions are there with all of your feedback.

The same thing happened with one of my quizzes, but I knew your rules about quizzes: no quizzes should be deleted, and best attempts should be given to adhere to the feedback and submit it for further review. I did that a month or so back, and thanks to your feedback and support, that quiz is live now.

However, I wanted to check in with you before repeating that process with the single questions. I would love to work on your feedback on these five rejected single questions and submit them for further review. However, what would you prefer? Would you prefer that I delete those questions? Or would you prefer I work on the feedback and submit those questions? These are the five feedbacks in a snapshot:-

1) time dependency
2) spelling/grammar
3) time dependency
4) spelling/grammar
5) obscure question

As far as the authoring part of this site goes, everything is homeostasis to me. I would also be able to effectively mitigate the syntax and semantics issues in those five questions now. I did not feel so confident back then, so I did not attempt to repurpose it back then, and I kept them as they were. However, I do not want to do that if that is not something you want me to do.

So, please let me know what you want me to do, and I will happily oblige!

I suggest you look at the questions from your new perspective, and decide whether you want to follow the suggestions and get them online, or whether you now see that it is not actually a viable question. Editors do not spend anything like as much time on single questions as they do on quizzes, and the feedback on them is not usually as lengthy in terms of providing feedback for development. So we do not have any firm policy about how to deal with rejection of single questions.

What I do not recommend is emptying the current contents and recycling the question. If you are not going to proceed with it, just delete it and start over on a new one.

Thank you for your help. I appreciate the clarification you provided regarding repurposing single questions. I submitted these five questions 10 years ago, when I was new to everything, and didn't do a great job. Even the helpful feedback I received confirms that I need to make significant revisions. So, any attempts to repurpose them might violate what you told me not to do in your second paragraph. Therefore, I'm going to delete these five questions and start fresh, as you outlined, as one of the options for dealing with such a situation. Also, I wanted to say thanks for the new addition - Bingo! It definitely boosts one's motivation to submit more single questions. :)
