Has nobody really mentioned George Carlin? If you did, then I apologize; I skim read a lot. Jerry Seinfeld is brilliant just because he's so great at observational comedy. Such simple stuff, but he views it in such a different perspective he's magnificent. I'd be a fool not to love Steve Martin. Undoubtedly one of the funniest men ever. He's just hilarious. Reply #22. Conan O'Brien is the best comic on TV today. I think the funniest of all time were Jonathan Winters (in his prime), followed by George Carlin, Bob Newhart, Red Skelton, and of course, last but not least, Jerry Lewis. Reply #25. Apr 19 06, 12:44 PM |

Steven Wright. He's brilliant. So is Ross Noble. Billy Connolly, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. I still laugh at Seinfeld when it's on.. not that there's anything wrong with that! Reply #26. Apr 22 06, 5:44 AM |

I'm surprised that noone has mentioned the late Bill Hicks. Am I alone in admiration for him ? Of living comedians I really like Billy Connelly Robin Williams Joan Rivers Jackie Mason and Michael Redmond who is a brilliant Irish stand-up comic Reply #28. Jun 24 06, 9:52 AM |

Victoria Wood is a genius. I love her work. I also like Bill Bailey a hell of a lot, and also Dylan Moran. "This song is all about ME". Yes it is. Reply #31. Jun 24 06, 1:55 PM |
