Cowell, Simon
Brighton, East Sussex. Simon Cowell was born in Brighton, East Sussex, England on October 7, 1959. He grew up in Elstree, Hertfordshire on an estate, set in five acres situated north of London. Simon's middle name is Phillip. His dad's name is Eric Philip Cowell and he was a prosperous estate agent and quantity surveyor. His mother Julie Brett was a former socialite and Simon grew up with three half-brothers, a half sister, and a brother. His mother had also been a ballet dancer.
Dover College. Prior to attending Dover College Simon had been attending a private school locally, but was thrown out by the headmaster for unruly behaviour. His full brother Nicholas also attended Dover College. Simon broke lots of school rules whilst at Dover College school and eventually left after only obtaining 2 'O' levels.

His father. Simon's dad ran "EMI Music Publishing"s, property division and because of this contact, Simon was offered a job in the mail room. This entailed crossing Charing Cross Road at its busiest with a trolley bursting at the seams . Simon from an early age realised that he loved making money, from cleaning windows, to mowing lawns.
a runner. Simon's first encounter was in 1976 when he obtained a job as a runner on the set of "Return of the Saint".
E and S Music. Simon had worked his way up at "EMI" and had eventually been promoted to a music publishing position, but left during the early 1980s. He formed "E&S Music" with his boss at "EMI", Ellis Rich (later Chairman of the Performing Right Society)."E&S Music" had several hit records, at one point with five singles in the UK top 40. Their offices were situated in a converted gentleman's washroom in the NCP car park on Brewer Street in London's Soho District.

Sir Trevor McDonald. Cowell was chosen as the first "victim" of the re-launched "This Is Your Life" in an episode broadcast on June 2, 2007. He was presented with the famous Red Book by Sir Trevor McDonald while presenting "American Idol".
Simon Cowell. Cowell is the executive producer of this show along with Fremantle producers of the "Pop Idol" series . The show was a huge success for NBCA. A British version was screened from June 9, 2007 until June 17, 2007, with ITV screening nine episodes. Fellow judges were Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan. An Australian version was screened by channel 7 on February 18, 2007 by NBC, drawing around 12 million viewers per week.
a company. Syco is a company founded by Simon Cowell in 2002 as a television production and music publishing house. The winner of "The X Factor" is automatically signed by Syco. Syco also works alongside "Britain's Got Talent".
PETA. Simon appeared in a video for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). The video is a reminder to people, that to leave a pet in a locked car in summer can be construed as cruel. He also supports children from Children's hospices.
