Simon's middle name is Phillip. His dad's name is Eric Philip Cowell and he was a prosperous estate agent and quantity surveyor. His mother Julie Brett was a former socialite and Simon grew up with three half-brothers, a half sister, and a brother. His mother had also been a ballet dancer.
