Edward Scissorhands. Johnny plays a man who was built by a mad scientist who dies before he can give Edward his hands, and he is cursed to have scissors as hands. I think this is the first Johnny Depp movie that I saw, and it still makes me cry every time I see it!
Chocolat. Chocolat was a very interesting movie. Johnny Depp portrays the gypsies as people, instead of thieves, which is the way that they are usually portrayed. I suggest this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it.
The Brave. A movie about a "snuff film", Johnny directed this movie in 1997.
A Nightmare on Elm Street. Johnny was Glen Lantz in A Nightmare on Elm Street, which came out in 1984.
Donnie Brasco. I liked this movie a lot, but it was a little disturbing. Donnie gets so far into the mob that it's hard for him to get back out, and in the end, Al Pacino's character ends up getting killed because he vouched for Donnie.
grilled cheese. This is near the end of the movie, when Sam (our beloved Johnny) and Joon (Mary Stuart Masterson) have their own apartment and Benny is teaching Joon his methods of cooking. He had previously used a tennis racquet to make mashed potatoes.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. This is when Elizabeth (Kiera Knightley) has used the rum to start a fire in hopes that the British fleet will see the smoke and rescue them. This movie is really amazing, and it solidified my obsession with Johnny Depp.
