Dietrich, Marlene
27th December, 1901. Seh was born in Schöneberg, Germany.
Violin. Her first job was playing violin to accompany silent films.
1. She married Rudolf Sieber on 17th May, 1923 and, although they lived apart, stayed married until his death on 24th June, 1976.
F. She had made several silent films but "The Blue Angel" was her first talkie.
Joseph von Sternberg. He helped create the new Dietrich persona with very careful lighting.

The Garden of Allah. A 1936 film with Charles Boyer.
Witness for the Prosecution. The film was based on an Agatha Christie novel.
Las Vegas - The Sahara. She opened on 15th December, 1953 to rave reviews.

James Stewart and Brian Donlevy. Dietrich made the first of her many comebacks in this highly successful western.
Bruce Cabot and Roland Young. Rene Clair directed this 1941 film.
Edward G. Robinson and George Raft. The shooting was troubled by antagonism between Robinson and Raft.
Herbert Marshall and Melvyn Douglas. Ernst Lubitsch directed this comedy in 1937.
Fred MacMurray and Stanley Ridges. During filming, Dietrich broke her ankle trying to break the fall of the baby she was holding.
John Wayne and Randolph Scott. The same trio starred in "Pittsburgh" in 1942.
Ray Milland and Murvyn Vye. The film was a commercial success but didn't do much to revive Dietrich's career.
