Stallone, Sylvester
"Paradise Alley" (1978). "Paradise Alley" (1978) was Sylvester's first movie he directed. He also wrote a book of it prior to writing the film. "Paradise Alley" was about three brothers in Hell's Kitchen in the 1940s. One started wrestling for money. Stallone's character Cosmo Carboni at first tried to make money off his brother's wrestling.
"Driven" (2001). "Driven" (2001) was about a rookie CART driver who is competing for the championship. Joe Tanto was a former CART driver who was brought back to help rookie Jimmy Bly.
He played Robert Rath in "Assassins" (1995). Rath was a paid assassin who wanted out of that job. Sylvester played John Spartan in "Demolition Man" (1993). John Spartan was a cop who was frozen and returned in 2032. He played Gabe Walker in "Cliffhanger" (1993). Gabe was a mountain climber and rescue worker.
Rocky Balboa. Stallone starred in the title role. Rocky Balboa was inspired by Chuck Wepner. Rocky was a local club fighter who got a chance at the Heavyweight Championship.
July 6, 1946. July 6, 1947 was John Rambo's birthday. Sly was born in New York City.
Planet Hollywood. Stallone opened Planet Hollywood with Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was opened on October 22, 1991. Arnold has since sold his part.
His brother. Frank Stallone played a singer on the street corner; Frank played a singer in the first three "Rocky" films. In "Rocky Balboa" (2006), he was a patron at Rocky's diner.
