704 Hauser. In 1994, Tierney appeared in the short lived series '704 Hauser' which was a spin-off of the classic hit series 'All In The Family'. The address is synomous with Archie Bunker. Creator Norman Lear, set the stage for a modern day Archie when he cast actor John Amos in the lead role of Ernie Cumberbatch. Cumberbatch's character was similar to Carroll O'Connor's character of Archie. Both were strong headed and extremely opinionated. Lear cast Tierney as Goodie Cumberbatch's (son of Ernie) girlfriend. Tierney recieved high reviews for her portrayal of a Jewish-American woman who is involved with an Africian-American man. The series '704 Hauser' only aired for five episodes, as it was a mid-season replacement for CBS. The pilot episode has never been aired on television.
