 Balamory
A small town by the sea. There are many different coloured houses sitting by the sea in Balamory.
Miss Hoolie. Miss Hoolie works at the nursery.
Archie. Archie is Balamory's inventor.
Orange. Spencer is an artist, he likes to paint and draw.
On a bicycle. PC Plum likes to take care of wildlife and nature. That's probably why he goes everywhere on a bike instead of in a polluting car.
Driver. Edie drives the children to the nursery in her minibus. She is also very good at repairing things.
Josie Jump. Josie is probably the most active person in Balamory. She loves to excercise and play sports!
Suzie Sweet. Their shop is called "Pocket and Sweet".
Stripes. Miss Hoolie always wears a green cardigan with stripes, and a green skirt.

Policeman. PC Plum's police station is situated in the white building. He also has an interesting sideline in nature.

Josie Jump. Josie Jump lives in the Yellow House and is very fit. She loves lots of sports and games and also loves telling stories to the nursery children.
PC Plum. PC Plum is the local policeman and lives in the White House which is also the police station. PC Plum loves animals and knows lots about them and is always on hand to help his friends.
Spencer. Spencer is an American and loves music and painting. He often helps his friends out with either music or pictures. He lives in the Orange House.
Suzie Sweet. Suzie Sweet and Penny Pocket run the village shop and cafe together which is the Red House.
Edie McCredie. Edie McCredie drives the daisy bus around the island of Balamory and lives in the blue house. Edie is also well travelled and has lots of video tapes she's made with her camera.
Penny Pocket. Penny wears blue clothes and works in the village shop and cafe with Suzie Sweet. Penny is very organised and often helps her friends with their organising skills.
Suzie Sweet. Suzie Sweet wears red clothes and works in the village shop and cafe with Penny Pocket. Suzie is also a very good cook and often helps her friends out with cooking.
Miss Hoolie. Miss Hoolie is the nursery school teacher and lives in the Green House. She starts the story each day and then does a re-cap at the end.
All but Miss Hoolie. When someone has been to visit Miss Hoolie they always sing about which coloured house they're going to visit as each character has their own colour house and wears the clothes to match.
