"A Wrinkle in Time" is the first introduction to the Murrys; "A Wind in the Door" takes place next because Meg is still in high school; "Many Waters" is next because the twins comment on Meg being in college; "A Swiftly Tilting Planet" is next to last because Meg is married and pregnant; "An Acceptable Time" is obviously last since the main character, Polly, is the child Meg is pregnant with in "A Swiftly Tilting Planet". Mr. and Mrs. Murry are in all of the books regarding their children and their grand-daughter, Polly comes to stay with them in the last one.

He also appears in "A Ring of Endless Light" as a romantic interest for Vicki Austin. In the Disney movie of this novel, Ryan Merriman played the guy with whom Vicki ended up.

liverwurst and cream cheese. When Meg and Mrs. Murry went to the kitchen, Charles offered to make a sandwich for them. Meg had tomato and lettuce while Mrs. Murry had liverwurst and cream cheese.

color. After Meg had dinner she went to bed. She thought that Ixchel didn't need color.
the sun. After Meg wakes up, Aunt Beast asked again if Camazotz was the planet they were from. Meg said they were from there but do not live there. Aunt Beast said they can call their planet Ixchel and told them that they share the same sun as Camazotz.

Maggie. Maggie is very different from the other children, especially as she is an only child and the Austin family already had four children.
Suzy becomes a vegetarian.. Suzy is very upset at the thought of Wilbur being eaten, and then can't eat meat herself.

arm. Vicky broke her arm and knocked some of her teeth about when riding home in the dark. She gave John quite a fright when she arrived home screaming.
Grooves. They all play dress-ups when they go to the railway station to pick up Uncle Doug and the girl to see if she has a sense of humour.
ice storm. The power went off as well, so they ate their meals off paper plates in front of the big fireplace.
