Soren. Soren is the leader of the band of owls: Twilight, Gylfie, and Digger.
St. Aggie's. Soren and Gylfie are taken there when they are very young still.

Burrowing Owl. Digger likes to walk more than he likes to fly.

Mrs. Plithiver. She was one of the people that comforted Soren the most. She is blind.
Eglantine. Soren thought he had lost her when he went to St. Aggie's but she was rescued by Twilight.
Ezylryb. Ezylryb has only seven claws, unlike most owls, who have eight.
weather and colliering. He was chosen for the only double chaw. Gylfie was chosen for the navigation chaw, Twilight for the search and rescue chaw, and Digger for the tracking chaw.
Madam Plonk's. The books talk about how she cleans both hollows a few times.
puffins. They ate a lot of fish and helped the owls out.
Kludd. His identity is revealed in the end of the third book.
Nyra. She was quite a bit older than Kludd.
Simon. Kludd later murdered Simon.
Mist. He had severe injuries.
Hortense. She actually survived the attack from Auntie in 'The Capture'.
