Doctor Mark Bruckner. Bruckner was originated on Broadway by John Cullum, who is remembered for his powerful performances in "Shenandoah" and "On The Twentieth Century". He was also seen as Cladwell in "Urinetown". "Shenandoah" ran from January 7, 1975 to August 7, 1977. "On the Twentieth Century" ran from February 19, 1978 to March 18, 1979. "Urinetown" ran from September 20, 2001 to January 18, 2004.
Mark Hellinger Theater. The Mark Hellinger has also been the home of shows such as "Oliver!", "Shenandoah" and "Man of La Mancha". The theater closed in 1989 and became a church.
Smoking. Daisy's afraid that her excessive smoking will hurt the career of her fiancee Warren. She asks Doctor Bruckner to cure her using hypnosis. At this point in the show, Daisy has already shown a susceptibility to hypnosis.

No. The correct line is "Just a mirage, so they say". This is from the song "Melinda", sung by Doctor Bruckner. He is entranced by Melinda but not by Daisy, whom he thinks is a conformist.

Mouse. The Jester repeats this multiple times, including the final scene where the King recovers his voice. The mouse is Dauntless, the hawk is Queen Aggravaine. Get it?
