Forty. Because the Whittaker School does not have a school band, Lincoln Middle School visits the school to play at the First Lady's visit.

P. Heidi is going to read the book "Polar Bear, Polar Bear What Do You Hear?" She dosen't exactly get the chance before she is possesed by the demon, though.
Mickey . George sees a portrait of the first Cornwell Whittaker wearing a black robes and a black hat and says "Why is he dressed like Mickey from 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice'?"
80 words. Kate, to help pay for her tuition to the Whittaker school, becomes Heidi's personal assistant. Heidi needs to have six 5-paragraph essays typed and Kate ends up with the job, although George offers to type the essays because he can type very fast.
Tuesday. On October 6th, a Tuesday, the First Lady is scheduled to visit the Whittaker Magnet School. The visit had to be perfect, so the planning had to begin very early.
Math 8. At the Whittaker school, saying Math 8 refers to two things; first would be the title of the class, which is made up of subject and grade. This could also refer to the teacher of the class, so that students would be distracted by the names of teachers.
The first floor. The Whittaker building has eight floors. The first floor is the child's section, which witnessed the founding of Toddler Time, which later became Story Time with phonics.
Blue. The blue shower curtain must be of great importance to Dr. Austin, due to the fact that he is very protective of it. The reason for this is never mentioned.
10:30. The book also states that it is on a Tuesday when George and Kate begin the life at their new school. They were soon told that they had to make an appointment to register.
"I'm Flying". All of these songs are featured in "Story Time" in one way or another. "Comfortably Numb" is not in the actual plot, but is used on the front page of the book to set the stage for the following events. The other three songs are from "Peter Pan" the play which will be put on by Lincoln Middle School.
Web Wizard X. On this device Rosetta is able to grant all the wishes of the adults. She refers to it for schedules and for dates and laws.

Wendy. She had originally wanted to be Peter. However, George auditioned and he got the part. The director, Mr. Kagoshima, was captivated by his ability to pick up on wit and sarcasm. Kate did not mind giving up the part to George because her crush was playing John.
Semper Paratus. Semper Paratus means to always be on the lookout for something. They chose this as this motto because they wanted to catch the demon at work.
by pushing down a mushroom cap. Pogo shows Kate this on her very first week there. It has the entire private collection of Cornell Whittaker number two in the room. The books have demons contained in them. Also it is the place Susan Singer-Wright is burned to a crisp by the laser cannon.
Dr. Cavander. Dr. Cavander is mentioned many times throughout the book. The first time you meet him is in the chapter "Democracy in Action." He is discussing the reason of death (a heart attack for one and he grabbed on to the other two and pulled them off the top of the library) of three men on the top of the Whittaker Library.
Perrault. The copy of this book is the only one the spirits can exit into. After someone has been attacked either Pogo or Dr. Austin would put this book by their face and the demon would exit.
80. George tells Kate this on the day of the "Orchid the Orca" audition. Heidi had just given Kate a five paragraph report to type because Kate is her personal assistant. George says to Kate
"You know Kate, aside from my uncanny ability to spot redundancy, repetition and, repetitiveness from a distance I have an even more valuable skill. Did you know that I can type 80 words a minute without any mistakes, not even stupid ones?"
Minnie. This is in Chapter 14, "The Juku Warriors"; Kate had just called out to Mr. Kagoshima. She says:
"Mr. Kagoshima! Mr. Kagoshima! It's Kate Peters, from Lincoln, remember? I was Minnie in "Annie Get Your Gun".
Mr. Kagoshima is known as Math 6 in the Whitaker Magnet School because Dr. Austin does not want distractions in the classroom.
