2. Gohan and Goten. Gohan defeats Garlic Jr. and Cell. Goten is almost identical to Goku. They both turn into Super Sayans very young.

Goku and Piccolo. ChiChi forces Goku and Piccolo to do something useful and they accept driving lessons. They couldn't get the driving license since they were very bad at it, but after saving a bus full of children that was falling into a ravine the instructors decide to thank them by giving them the license.
Hope!. Trunks writes "Hope!" on his time-machine and by that he finds out that the machine in which Bulma finds Cell's egg, was his.

Vegeta and Yamcha. Vegeta gets in first and Yamcha sees him training and wants to try. So he gets in, and the second after he enters the room he gets crushed by the 300g but succeeds in getting out.

The original Gameboy. Mr. Satan gives Boo the original Gameboy (the big grey one) with a bomb inside it to try to blow him up but Boo instead of dying, has fun.
Son Goku. Son Goku (also known as Goku) is twelve years old at the start of the series. Goku is not very familiar with everyday life, as is shown in the books. He lived with his grandfather, until his grandfather died. His grandfather trained him in martial arts.

Bulma. Bulma is extremely smart, and created the Dragon Radar, a complicated device which can locate the dragonballs. Bulma meets Goku while searching for the dragonball in his possession, and from there they search for the rest together.
Seven. The dragonballs are extremely valuable, and many people are after them throughout the "Dragonball" manga series. Many people have made a Dragon Radar, but throughout the series Bulma's is proven to be most effective.
An incredibly powerful dragon will appear and grant one wish. The dragon which appears when all of the dragonballs are gathered is called Shenlong. He can grant ANY wish which is given to him.
A magic staff that can extend. The staff which Goku carries is called the 'Nyoi-Bo', which Goku can lengthen at will.

Kame-Sen'nin. The Turtle Hermit is quite a dirty old man, which is shown many times throughout 'Dragonball'. However, he is a brilliant martial arts master who knows many strong moves and martial arts styles.
Three. Bulma sees the dragonball and asks the Turtle Hermit for it. However, the Turtle says he will only give it her if she lets him 'peek at her panties'!

A pig. Oolong is a pig who can only transform for five minutes before having to turn back to his true form for a minute. After being defeated, Oolong then joins Goku and Bulma on their quest for the dragonballs.

He has a fear of girls. Yamcha is afraid of girls and when he sees Bulma he runs away, with his sidekick Puar, who is a cat. He is Goku's enemy until Book 2, when he becomes Bulma's boyfriend, when he overcomes his fear of girls.
Four. Goku has this ball as a memento of his grandfather, and Bulma meets Goku while searching for his dragonball.
Pilaf's Plane. After this, Piccolo meets Kame-Sen'nin, Tien and Chaozu, and takes Kame-Sen'nin on in a fight for the Dragonballs.
Two. The other five are in the possession of Kame-Sen'nin's group, and after Kame-Sen'nin dies (giving his life by trying to seal Piccolo in a rice cooker and failing) Piccolo takes the other Dragonballs and summons Shenlong.
His youth. Piccolo wishes for Shenlong to grant him his youth, when he possessed the most power in his life, and so becomes much stronger than before!
Nothing. Piccolo offers Pilaf to leave with nothing, or die, saying that he has no more use for them!
The castle of the king of the world. Piccolo's plan is to become ruler of the world, and so flies to the castle of the king of the world, who turns out to be a dog! He says that when he is king he will abolish every law enforcement agency, and let people steal and murder as they will!
Letting him drink a special potion that would kill him or make him stronger. Karin gives Goku the 'Super Water of the Gods'. He says that if you drink it and you have potential that is not yet unlocked, it will be released, BUT if you have reached your potential you will die! Goku drinks the Water, and is in pain for several hours but he survives and is flooded with great power.
By sealing him in a rice cooker. He tries to master the 'Mafu-Ba', a technique that seals someone in an object. Kame-Sen'nin tries to seal Piccolo in this way but fails and dies.
Province 29- The City of the West. Piccolo says on the day of his ascension every year he will pick a province number out of a hat and destroy that province. He picks out Number 29, which he says is the City of the West.
Drum. You may have noticed that most of the names in 'Dragonball' and 'Dragonball Z' are puns, like in 'Dragonball Z' the evil alien Freeza who has a brother called Cooler. A piccolo is an instrument and Piccolo also has a servant named Piano.
May 9th. He says this when making his broadcast to the world and announcing the province he will destroy.
The World Martial Arts Tournament. The volume starts at the semi-final bout of the World Martial Arts Tournament, with Piccolo fighting Kami-Sama in a human's body.
