Duane, Diane
Nguyet. Tuyet and Nguyet are twins. Tuyet is a boy, Nguyet is a girl. Nguyet burns herself out trying to stop the Lone Power.
Fun Note: Twin wizards are called twychilds.
Hesper. She becomes Hesper the Light - a Power meant to help defeat the Lone One.
Fun Note: Hesper was fashioned by the Powers to be the exact opposite of the Lone One. She was developed right under the Lone One's nose.
for chocolate. This is one of the best theories ever devised (in my opinion). Carmela says that cocoa is mostly only on our planet, and it sells very expensive.
Fun Note: Carmela admits to Kit she's selling chocolate over the alien chat boards, and Kit begins to worry some intergalactic police will show up and arrest Carmela for dealing in illegal chocolate.
Esemeli. On this planet, the Lone One is a she.
Fun Note: This Lone One actually has two names - first Ictanike and then later, Esemeli. Esemeli is the one used mostly in the book.
Roshaun, Filif and Sker'ret. Roshaun is a prince - he's a humanoid. Filif is a Demisiv - he looks like a Christmas tree. Sker'ret is a Rirhait - he looks like a giant purple centipede.
Fun Note: Sker'ret will eat anything. Mr. Callahan gets rid of his "Time" magazines by having Sker'ret eat them.

Alaalu. Alaalu is a paradise, where it's always sunny, warm and people don't really die. Of course, paradise really doesn't exist... Enter Lone Power.

It has pulse lasers. This laser helps out later on in the books.

"Kit looked at what he was holding. It looked very much like an eggbeater, except that eggbeaters don't usually have pulse lasers built into them.

Darryl. Darryl McAllister is a wizard who's been stuck in his Ordeal for 3 months.
Fun Note: Nita gets his help message by having sinister dreams of clowns.
Chasing squirrels. Ponch loves to chase squirrels.
Fun Note: In the next books, Ponch's power plays a big part.
Brain tumor. The brain tumor causes things like forgetfulness and migraines.
Fun Note: Nita tries to keep her mother from dying, but in the end her mother saves Nita from the Lone Power.
Both of these. Those are just two of his many names, but no others are mentioned.

Nita laughs, 'Sorry, I usually think of Him as a Her.'
'Her!' Ronan sounded outraged, as if this was one shock too many."
Ronan. She has a crush on him, and then he kisses her. This is when she finds out there is a Power inside him.
Fun Note: This is the same Power she once knew as Peach the Macaw.

Star Wars. Dairine is a "Star Wars" fanatic.
Fun Note: Her bedspread is "Star Wars" and she wears Yoda PJs.
hNii't. That is how the whales say her name because of their talking being singing.
Fun Note: The whales pronounce Kit's name 'K!t'. How do you say that?
Ed. Nita can't remember his full name, so she calls him Ed for short.
