his lifemate is near. After 200 years, the only way a Carpathian male can see color is if his lifemate is near. This clue is the big one in helping him recognize the other half of his soul.
3. The conversion process is VERY painful. By the way, he does not have to have the woman's consent to convert her, though it is highly recommended.
Gregori. Gregori is a Healer who made a blood bond with his lifemate Savannah while she was in her mother (Raven)'s womb. He also exchanged blood with her while she was a child (which is a big no-no). By law, a woman cannot be claimed until her 18th birthday. Savannah's eyes are a dark blue with silver streaks. Gregori has silver eyes--hmmm, I think I see a connection.

Noelle. Noelle was Jacques and Mikhail's sister. She was murdered in the first book, "Dark Prince."
Shea. Shea's father was Rand and her mother was Maggie. Rand did not convert Maggie to a Carpathian and then they were separated by chance--so no one knew about Shea. Shea is Jacques lifemate. Jacques accidently converted her to a full Carpathian. "Dark Desire"
greet the dawn. To 'greet the dawn' means to walk into the sun to die, or suicide. After so many years, if he does not want to become a vampire (murderer), he does not have a choice. The beast in him grows and grows without the light of his lifemate anchoring his soul. The length of time he can hold out varies, from three or four hundred years to the longest example of the twins, Lucian and Gabriel, who held out over 2000 years.
Raven. Mikhail and Raven's story is told in the first book, "Dark Prince."
Gabriel. Gabriel was talking to his brother Lucian as they walked through a village. Francesca instantly recognized him as her lifemate, but took his action as rejection. She fled and hid for several hundred years, thinking he had chosen to hunt the vampire instead of find his mate.
Desari. Desari is Julian's lifemate, and their story is "Dark Challenge."
Falcon. "Dark Dream" from the anthology "After Twilight". Sara finds a journal that is 1500 years old & the words haunt her dreams. It is Falcon's.
Barack. "Dark Challenge" and "Dark Fire" -- they were a secondary story. THe only lifemate pair who grew up together as small children--Syndil was 1 and Barack was 2. He did not claim her for a 1000 years.
Julian. "Dark Challenge"--Julian is ordered to protect this human singer from fanatics. It turns out that she is also carpathian and his lifemate.
Darius. "Dark Fire"--Tempest is rather accident-prone, and for Darius who is very protective anyway...it just about drives him crazy.
Gabriel. "Dark Legend"--Gabriel is one of the legendary hunters & is over 2000 years old.
Lucian. "Dark Guardian"--Lucian pretended to be a vampire for a couple hundred years to keep his twin brother Gabriel from turning into a vampire. If Gabriel had to hunt Lucian, then Gabriel did not have an opportunity to turn.
Jacques. "Dark Desire"--Jacques has been tortured and buried for seven years. He is crazy and has no memories. It is very difficult for him to trust anyone--even his lifemate.
Vlad. Sarantha and Vladimir are Mikhail's parents.
Tienn. They have a brief appearance in "Dark Prince."
Dimitri. Skyler is introduced in "Dark Legend." She is given a stuffed wolf with bright blue eyes from Dimitri--her lifemate though neither knows yet.
Dayan. "Dark Melody"--When Dayan meets Corrine she is pregnant and dying of a serious heart disease.
Byron. "Dark Symphony"--Antoinette is a descendent of the Scarlettis of "The Scarletti Curse."
Traian. "Dark Destiny" from the anthology "The Only One"
Nicolae. "Dark Destiny"--Destiny is a female vampire hunter.
Eric. Briefly appears in "Dark Prince"
Gabriel. These two were the ones to kill the Ottoman Turks before returning to their village when their prince was killed.
Yes. He does this so that they will be able to live together.
Tyler Drake. He has been stalking her since she was 15 years old!
Montgomery. Her father Matt Montgomery was killed by his best friend!
Daratrazanoff. This is also the last name of his twin and his younger brother.
Francesca. Francesca told him because Gabriel had almost killed him, and Lucian needed the will to live!
